I attended two graduation ceremonies; the first time as the valedictorian, the second time as a faculty member. I have vague memory of my own speech, but I can still remember the other one. It was from a postgraduate student in the school of biology. It started with a small lecture on cell division. Everyone was floored in five minutes. I was no exception. But then, one phrase catches my attention: "Life starts with a 'Yes'".

Indeed, everything in life starts with a decision. We decide to get up. We decide our breakfast. We decide what we wear. We decide what we do with our time. We decide when to leave work. We decide when to sleep. On a broader scale, we decide our career, our dream, our partner. Even when the situation is hopeless, as stated by Dr. Viktor Frankl, we decide our attitude. Every change, every movement in our life is started by a single decision: to say "Yes".

Life, to me, is essentially a series of decision. Every moment, we are constantly asked by life, by circumstances, and by ourselves. We cannot not making decision, because such choice is a decision itself. We cannot change what happens at the end of the path that we choosed, but along away, we will be offered choices. All you can do, is making a decision, is to say "Yes".

So, should we worry about what our future holds? Or should we say "Yes" to what we feel right, and then pray that we will keep saying "Yes" on the right thing along the way?
