A/N This chapter is going to be from Cato's POV! Enjoy :) I think I'll put summaries every few chapters (5-7 maybe) in case readers can't remember the plot line and stuff :)

Quick story summary so far (skip if you understand/remember everything):

-Prim gets reaped and Katniss volunteers

-Peeta also gets reaped, and they head to the capitol on the train with Effie & Haymitch

-They light on fire during the tribute parade and out shine everyone else, causing Cato and the rest of the careers to be pissed off

-Katniss meets Marvel on the roof; he and Clove are the only careers Katniss is remotely civilized with

-Clove offers Katniss to join the careers, and she accepts

-Glimmer continuously flirts with Cato, until Clove & Katniss intervene

-Katniss challenges the two careers to climbing on the net

~Summary over~

Ok finally a new chapter :3 I'm sorry for not updating... >_<

Cato POV

District 12 is kind enough to give us 15 minutes of practice time where she doesn't watch us, or listen, or even acknowledge that we're there. Thank God, because both Clove and I know that there is no way we can both scale even more than half the net. Careers are NOT trained to climb, because we have never really needed to. If you see a threatening tribute, you kill them. If you see a threatening animal or mutt, you kill them. If you can't kill them? Well you should have trained more. I slowly reach for the net, grimacing. "Clove, you go first, or I go first?" I ask.

"Obviously you! You're the one who's going to drag us down with your big body weight and fear of heights!"

"I'm not scared of heights! I just don't like them!" I snap testily. "And I don't have a large body weight for a guy! You're just saying that because you're a literal pixie!"

Clove glares. "Just start, OK? We only have 15 minutes and then we have to show Katniss what a career can do!"

I grab the net and try to climb. Damn, this is way harder than it looks! "I'm starting to regret ever agreeing to this! I also am regretting laughing at that district 5 male when he fell off because it'll seem hypocritical if one if us does the same thing!" I call down.

"Well than don't! Can you move any faster?!" Clove has gotten on right under me, and is waiting for me to move. I reach up and grab the next rope. And everything continues like that. For awhile. Then, when I'm about an eighth of the way up.... The entire net jerks around and sways precariously.

"Shit shit shit this was a bad idea!" I groan mentally.

"Hurry you idiot and move!" Clove hisses from below me. I notice that she looks a bit pale too, though. At least I'm not the only one.... I keep on climbing. I try to get used to the constant sway and spins of the climbing ropes, and it's working (sorta). But the swaying net seems to have a few more cruel tricks. At a quarter of the way up, Clove's weight beneath me (though not much) is just enough to violently jerk the entire net around, due to her tilting slightly off balance.

"Can you stay still?" I demand, gritting my teeth and forcing myself not to look down. To be honest, it's not that I'm scared of heights. I just can't stand heights AND movement, in combination.
