A/N: Basically I've heard that people actually still read this story and want me to continue it (lol), so that's what I'll be doing :) I already have a few chapters written out past this point, and a general plot outline is done. This continues from where I left off in the quick excerpt last time, so if you don't know what's going on please go back and read that! Enjoy~

Also sorry for the long note but I don't have an editor or proofreader or beta reader or anything, so I sincerely apologise for any grammatical errors! If you notice anything, feel free to message me or comment below, so I can fix it ASAP! Thanks <3

Cato POV (because it's fun :D)

We can't see any of the other tribute groups. I assume that they are all stationed at different entrances for the sake of entertainment. There are mini port screens in front of us, which I assume will flash and show us some sort of maze design after the game makers are ready for it to be revealed. While we wait for that, however...

"Ok so I don't care about how straight and clean your moral compass is, but I say we go for other people's boxes as well, Everdeen."

She scowls. "Trust a career to think like that. It's not a zero-sum game, dude. I'm not exactly completely against sabotage as a potential method, but I think we should aim to grab our own box first."

"Really? Because I think we should screw around with teams any chance we can, along the way there."

We have a mini staring- more like glaring- contest between us until she scoffs and turns away. Ha, Victory!

"Fine, this is such a waste of time. You can do what you want, as long as we get our box I'm peachy."

I grin. "So we should also figure out who we're on good terms with. I'd personally say-"

"Nobody."

I stare at her in disbelief. "Nobody? No, I say we're definitely cool and on mutual terms with Clove. We don't need to worry about Marvel, he's scared of us. Well, more me, no offence. Glimmer is a useless brat so she's completely out of the picture. We might have issues with district 11, the male looks pretty-"

"Can we just start discussing our navigation strategies? Other people don't matter."

"Typical of you and your lack of social skills-"

"Shut up and look at the screen, the maze design is out," she snaps.

I look down to see that the maze is indeed, as we predicted, a very regular shape; a circle. Since Everdeen, being from the Seam and a ridiculously poor district after all, probably doesn't have the best grasp over technology, I begin manuvering the 3-D interactive diagrams that we have been provided.

"Ok so it doesn't tell us where each of the teams are located, logically, but we can see where we are and where the boxes probably are," I say, gesturing to the general locations and positions as I speak.

"Wait, they didn't mark anything though. So I think we should head for the centre, but definitely be prepared for a few surprises along the way, because they have to make it entertaining for the capital and the other watchers." Katniss points out.

The game makers have also decided to be annoying, apparently, because they have left out any clear path definitions that we could potentially memorise. I tap on the "Ground View" button, and we're inside the maze, experiencing it digitally. Everdeen immediately leans in closer.

"Wait let me see something." Using her fingers, she navigates through the maze quickly, taking a few random turns and backtracking every time she hits a dead end.
