"aunt rose!" i smiled, giving my favourite aunt a big hug. she kissed my head before releasing me.
"this must be bethan and sara!" she said before pulling them into a big hug. she then took our bags and put them in the back of her SUV. we all got in and buckled our seatbelts. "so you're going to be at layla's apartment alone because she's back in ohio. i hope that's okay."
"that's absolutely fine!" sara laughed. she was so excited. we all were.
*1hour later*
aunt rose pulled up in front of a relatively nice apartment building. she helped us take the bags out but told us she had to leave.
"i have some errands to run before the days over, and you know how bad LA's traffic can be." she said before kissing my cheek and getting back in her car, driving off.
"so how come you don't have the same accent as your aunt?" bethan asked as we got into the elevator.
"'cos i moved to England when i was only like five. my accent changed. now it was floor nine, right?" i asked before pressing the button with my knuckle, careful of my white acrylics. we got out of the elevator, dragging our suitcases behind us.
234, 236, 238, 240!
i put the key in the lock and twisted it. i opened the door to reveal a very modern apartment. there was a note on the kitchen counter:
Tegan and friends,
there is two bedrooms so you can decide where you want to sleep. the kitchen stocked but you can just run out to target, it's walking distance :). there is a pool downstairs. please don't forget to feed millie(my hamster). also, there's like a few music festivals happeneing whilst you're there so if you wanna go then that's cool. have fun in LA baby!
Layla xx
