Darkest Moon. [ON HOLD]

Chapter four

Samuel heard the horse before he saw it. He looked up at his brother John who was sitting on his horse looking around and said "See her yet?" John looked down his blue eyes wide. His brown hair in his face "Not yet.. Oh wait there she is!" He said pointing to where the black horse came running out of the woods with Maureen on its back laughing.

Maureen saw the boys and couldn't help but laugh at the way they were looking at her. She slowed the horse down and then she and the horse came to a stop beside John's white horse. "Hi John. Hi Sam." She said, smiling at them. They both smiled at her but said nothing.

"What are you not telling me? " she demanded looking at them both annoyed. They both just smiled at her then at each other. "Tell me!!" She said, before hitting John in the arm softly and he looked at Samuel and nodded. Samuel nodded back and spoke "we got you a present." Maureen's face light up with a smile.

"What did you get me??" She asked jumping from the horse which started to eat the grass. The boys both did the same and then sat in a circle letting the horses walk around. Samuel pulled something out of his pocket. And handed it to Maureen. She opened her hand and saw the same gold necklace she had seen in the market. She gasped and looked at them both "But how?" They both laughed then John patted Maureen on the back. "We saw you at the market and bought it for you after you left."

Maureen pulled them both into a hug. "Thank you guys I love it!" They smiled "wait you saw me at the market? Why didn't you just pick me up there instead of making me go to your house?  Because guess who answered the door!  Your sister who slammed the door in my face!" She yelled at them.

They both looked at her and frowned "yeah we don't know what's got into her. She hit me yesterday for accidentally running into her when I was on my way to get you." Said John ,showing Maureen a nasty black bruise on his chest.

Maureen looked at Samuel " there is something very wrong with her if she hit her favorite brother that hard." She said looking at Johns bruise again. "Its funny we hear her in her room talking to her self all the time saying she has to kill someone before...." he started to laugh " Before your birthday." Samuel and Maureen looked at each other worried.

John stopped laughing and looked at them " Why do you two look so worried? I mean come on why would Jenna want Maureen dead?" He asked .  Maureen and Samuel just looked at him and there was silence. "Because she hates me with a passion!" Maureen finally said what they were all thinking.

"But still if she hates you- which we don't even know why she does - why would she want to kill you?" John asked Maureen. " okay guys this is enough no one is going to die Jenna is just crazy. So let's just drop it." Samuel said looking at both of them. They both nodded in agreement. " so what are we doing today Sam?" Maureen and John asked at the same time. They all started to laugh and started to talk about what to do for the rest of the day..
