Maureen looked at her friends then layed back down, closed her eyes then opened them again and sat back up. "That was real?" She asked sadly. Ivy and John just nodded before moving to Maureen's side. Maureen's face suddenly screwed up in pain and held her stomach. She looked up at Ivy and Ivy gasped Maureen's irises had gone from brown with gold in them to pure black... Maureen closed her eyes than let go of her stomach she opened her eyes and they were normal, "That hurt!" She explained "It felt like some one stabbed me with a hot knife!"

 There was a loud crash and they all looked at the door which was now on the other end of the bedroom and in walked Maureen's mother and Samuel who had kicked the door. "MY DOOR!" Maureen yelled before she saw who walked in "Sam? Mom? What?" She asked confused. Maureen's mother looked at her " Hi baby girl. Now get packed the horses are waiting." She said getting Maureen out of bed. "What's happening mom?" Maureen asked looking at her mom still startled. "Your leaving hunny your going with Samuel, Ivy and John. Its not safe here anymore." She said and the Maureen walked over to Samuel and stood there in front of him before slapping him.

 Samuel heard the loud crack of Maureen's hand hitting him right in the cheek before he felt the pain. "How could you!" Maureen screamed the tears that had formed in her eyes started to spill over and run down her cheeks. She spun around looking at everyone "What kind of friends are you! You are all keeping secrets from me!" She turned back to Samuel " Samuel, I have never kept a secret from you. And what about our promise do you remember that Samuel?" Samuel nodded how could he forget. They made a promise when he was twelve and she was eleven that they would never keep secrets from each other no matter what.

 Maureen had tears running down her cheeks and Samuel felt horrible to see her like this. He just wanted to pick her up and take her far away. Maureen's mother suddenly gasped and her eyes misted over before she said " At last a wolf has found his mate." before her eyes went back to their own colour. Every one looked at her in shock "what?" Samuel asked and Maureen's mother smiled " you know what I mean Samuel ." She said softly.

 Samuel knew but couldn't believe it.  He looked at Maureen who looked more lost then ever as she looked at him then her mother then her face went blankand she fainted. Samuel dived to catch Maureen before she hit the ground. She was cold to the touch and he noticed she was paler then normal.

 Her mother sighed. "Ivy help me pack her stuff please." She said. Ivy nodded and walked to Maureen's wardrobe and stuffed Maureen's shirts and pants in it a bag. Knowing Maureen wouldn't want to wear a dress for this. But she did pack one just in case.

 When Ivy was done packing Maureen's stuff they all went down to the horses. Samuel put Maureen who was still out cold into the saddle of the black horse its name was Camarel. Samuel put her stuff on the horses side and got on his white horse. Ivy swung herself up into the saddle of her horse Dane. John got on his and they were off Maureen sitting in the saddle still out like a light. Camarel knew Maureen  was unconscious and was careful.

They were soon out of the town and into the forrest.  After three hours of ridding they stopped to set up camp.
