Chapter six

Ivy listened closely . When Maureen was done Ivy smiled "what are you smiling about?" Maureen asked staring at her friend as if she turned purple." What's so funny?" Maureen demanded. Ivy stopped laughing and composed her self before thinking about what to say. Ivy never thought the day would come when she would have to tell her best friend that was not  she really was or that anybody Maureen knew was who they said they were.

 Maureen watched Ivy think. " Is it that hard to come up with a lie?" Maureen suddenly asked.

 Ivy felt hurt when Maureen asked that. But Ivy stayed calm and replied " I am not making up a lie. I am trying to think of how to tell you the truth," Maureen looked down art the floor and mumbled an oh.

Ivy finally decided to tell Maureen the the truth about herself and the boys could tell Maureen on their own. " okay Maureen I need you to listen very closely okay and don't say anything till I am done." Maureen just nodded her head and looked at Ivy.

 Ivy sighed but she looked right at Maureen and said. " Maureen I am not what you think I am" Maureen looked at Ivy and simply said " then what are you?"

 "I.. I'm .. a...a.." Ivy went on. " spit it out already!" Maureen yelled. "I'm a vampire." Ivy blurted.

Maureen burst out laughing "funny Ivy.. Very funny!" She said between laughs. Ivy glared at Maureen then flashed her extended fangs. Maureen automatically stopped laughing and quickly moved back away from Ivy. "No Maureen don't do that!" Ivy cried when Maureen backed away. Maureen came closer then tackled her into a hug. Ivy was surprised buy hugged her back. 'I told her about me' she mentally said to John.

John was sitting on Maureen's window sill as Ivy told Maureen. Ivy asked John to come so he did.

 "Why didn't you tell me sooner!" Maureen said in Ivy's ear when she hugged her. "I was scared of what would happen.". Ivy replied sheepishly. Maureen frowned " You can tell me anything you know that. I would have done the same thing. Besides now I know vampires are real... But you not just a vampire are you?" Maureen said still trying to think of what Ivy really was. Ivy nodded ' What do I do?' Ivy sent to John who just said ' Let her say is. I have seen her in her mothers library before reading books about vampires and other things.' "You a daywalker!" Maureen said triumphantly Ivy stared "how did you know?" She asked Maureen smiled " Mother has books on vampires and other things." She said "I always thought it wasn't real though but I guess vampires are."

 Ivy nodded "John get in here!" She suddenly yelled "John?" Maureen asked one of her eyebrows raised. But John had walked onto her room from the window and that's when she fainted. "Maureen!" Ivy yelled shaking her John was by her side in a instant. John wrapped his arms around Ivy and pulled her away from Maureen. Ivy turned around and hissed at him and tried to get out of his hold on her but couldn't. "Calm down! Just let her sleep this probably was just to much for her to handle all at once. Okay." He said in a soothing voice trying to calm her down. Ivy stopped trying to move "okay." She said and he slowly let her go and she ran to the bed and sat beside Maureen who's brown hair was spread across the pillow like a fan. She was still her eyes were moving under her eyelids showing she was dreaming. Her chest rose and fell with ever breath. She started shivering. Ivy pulled the blanket over Maureen then got off the bed.

Ivy walked over to John and took his hand and smiled at him "You go home I will stay here and wait for her to wake up." She said but he shook his head "Nope I am staying with you." Ivy frowned. "No you not John!" She yelled "why not Ivy?" As soon as he said that Maureen started to scream John jumped and let out a yelp. Ivy just stood there and looked to make sure the windows and door were closed so no one heard Maureen's blood wrenching screams. "What's going on?" John asked when the screaming was over. " She's having another nightmare she has them every night." Ivy simply replied walking to Maureen's side and put her hands on Maureen's shoulders John looked at Ivy but then he saw Maureen thrashing around but Ivy held her down. Maureen's back started to arch " John help!" Ivy said beginning to panic. John rushed over and put his hands on her stomach to hold down.

 He felt her pulse racing but then Maureen's body went slack and was still. Ivy let go of Maureen and so did he. Ivy went and sat in one of the chairs beside the bed. John sat down in front of Ivy but then looked behind him to see Ivy was all ready asleep. Soon he to was asleep.
