Chapter 2

"Help! I smell dead body!?" someone shouted. "You stupid or what? That's the smell of shit last night!" someone else replied loudly and I groaned. This is totally not the way to wake up in the morning. I got myself up and get ready for today. I tried not to get lost as I look for stairs to get to the main deck because I could hardly see because last night was too dark for me to see. Fortunately I managed to find the stairs and smiled to myself. When I arrived at the deck, I saw everyone were standing in line and they were staring at me.

"Just in time. Call me Lacus and this guy is Rene." a guy with purple hair introduced himself and dragged me in front of everyone. "Okay guys. This is the guy that shouted at captain last night." lacus tapped my shoulder and the cabin crews mumbling among themselves. "Listen up. He'll be one of you guys as of today. Get along okay." he pushed me forward and I almost trip. "Hi. My name is Yuuichirou but you can just call me Yuu for short." I said and all of them said their greetings then they dismiss themselves to go the cleaning.

"They actually knew who you are. Rumored spread so fast here you know especially that's related with the captain. Now..." lacus give me a mop and grinned. "I'm sure you know what to do from here." he said and I grabbed the mop. I looked at my surrounding and then back at the mop. Okay yuu, it's just a simple task even you can do it. I dipped the mop inside the bucket then pulled it back and I started to mop. However I slipped when I took a step and hit my face first on the wooden floor. Ouch it hurts like bitch. I heard people were laughing and they asked if I'm alright. Hell no I'm not.

"You already caused trouble for yourself yesterday and now you can't even do a simple job?" I looked up and saw the captain. "Say that to yourself. You ordered people around but can you do it blonde?" I huffed and carefully get myself up. "You're on my ship so call me with honorific." he crossed his arms and I gripped the mop. This guy is really cocky. Downright jerk. "Oh I'm sorry for my manner my dear prince. What should I call you from now on?" I bow down and my other hand lift up the imaginary gown and pretend that it was there. He knew I was being sarcastic which he didn't like one bit so he scoffed.

"Mikaela Shindo" he said his name and I held back a laugh. Mikaela? That name doesn't suit him. Its a girl name and the the name only suits for saints. Lucifer suits him better. "Sure thing mikaela." I said. "That's captain mikaela to you." he corrected me and I rolled my eyes. "Get back to work you useless garbage." he insulted me and frowned. "Shut up and get lost!" I furiously said and he grinned but it's not a good one. "Oh so you're the short temper type." he asked. "I don't have short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit. Especially from a jerk like you." I spat. He glared then walked away and I gave him a middle finger behind his back and get back to my work.

For the rest of the day I did all the work I was told to do there were mistakes here and there but I managed to do it. The time flew by so fast that it's already dinner time. I followed where everybody goes for dinner that is crew's space right under the main deck. I went to grab food and sat alone at the huge table while everyone else sat with their friends at another table.

Suddenly, someone put their food on the table, then another 3 put their plates next to me and in front of me. I raised my eyebrows and there were 4 people sitting near me then they introduced themselves except for kimizuki and yoichi. "How was your first day yuu-kun?" Yoichi asked with a grinned plastered on his face. "Not so great but I'll get used to it soon enough." I scratched at the back of my head. "You will yuu-san. When I first came here, I was disgust with every injured men after the fight because I have to treat their wounds." shinoa shook her head. "So you're must be a surgeon?" I questioned and she nodded.

"Let just skip this friendly chit chat and tell us every detail what actually happen. I mean we all knew what happened but what made you came here?" mitsuba chewed her food. "No need to rush the guy mit-chan. Give the him a breather." shinoa batted her eyelashes at me with a small smile. "No it's okay. I'll tell you." I started to tell them the whole story why I came here and what made captain allowed me to stay here. "Oh wow wee.. this guy is bragging how girls begging on their knees to get engage with you?" kimizuki rolled his eyes and I glared at him. "Kimizuki-kun don't be like that." yoichi pouted.

I ignored him and continue to eat my dinner. "So you rejected her" she asked and I shook my head. "You deaf or what? He just said he ran away from it all." kimizuki said. "You're getting on my nerve telephone poll!" I yanked his collar and yoichi tried to calm me down. "P-please don't be mad at him yuu-kun.." yoichi pleaded. "Yeah we're all good here yuu-san. Kimizuki-san is just insecure because there's another hot guy on board that might steal his man away. He swings that way you see." shinoa snickered and I gaped and looked over shinoa then at kimizuki.

"Are you for real" I asked disbelieved from what I've heard and he snapped my hand away. "What if I am? You're going to judge?" he asked and the four of them stared at me. I don't know why but I don't feel disgust at all. Now that I think about it, I never fell for any girl before. I shook my head. "No. Love is love. No matter what gender you are." I said and kimizuki's face soften for a split second and huffed. Yoichi noticed and chuckled. We continue to talk random topic until yoichi tapped my shoulder.

"Almost forgot. You should walk around the ship tomorrow so you won't get lost because the ship is big." yoichi suggested and I nodded in agreement. "But I'm not free to show you around the ship tomorrow because I have the count the food in stock." he looked at me with disappointment. "It's okay." I darted my eyes at Shinoa and she shook her head. "Sorry I can't leave from my place. In case if someone injured." she said and I glanced at mitsuba which she also shook her head. Which the only one left if kimizuki. "So uhh.. you're free tomorrow?" I asked. "No, I'm freaking expensive." he said nonchalantly and I frowned. "You know if you keep on acting like this, even your future lover won't stay with you for long." I stated and he flinched then for some reason he looked down at yoichi who shrugged with a playful smile on his face. "Tch fine." he finally agreed to show me around the ship tomorrow.

After dinner, when I'm on my way to my room. I saw captain mikaela standing at the main deck while staring up at the sky with an unreadable expression. I don't know why but my chest tighten at the sight. When he noticed I stared at him from afar, he furrowed his eyebrows and mouthed 'get to bed' and walked away. What made him be such a cruel man. So beautiful like a saint yet his attitude is no different than a devil. I sighed and head to my room.
