Ruby POV

I woke up in my room with bandages on my arm and head "oh.....we won huh? We did it.." I said to myself looking out the window i took a shower and changed to clean clothes i went out of my room and saw red pearl coming up the stairs "you're... I mean ruby you are awake let me tell your father the great news" red pearl said running to the throne room i smiled and followed red pearl "your majesty your son ruby has woken up" red pearl said "good..." Mt father said he doesn't sound happy... I walked in "morning father" i said with a smile he looked at me with that same look of disappointment he had when he discovered i couldn't summon a stupid weapon at the age of 14

Flashback

"Put all your straight in one part of your body you have more confidence with son" my father said summoning a green sword i tried but i couldn't do it "try again" my father said  i kept trying till sunset that day and still couldn't do it thus went on for two weeks "son it seems you can't summon your weapon...no royal blood took so long to summon their weapon...I'm disappointed in you" my father said walking away

End flashback

Since that day all i ever did was practice with a sword with peridot to make him proud of me "so ruby....i found out you and peridot lied to me and to the other kings what do you have to say for yourself.." He said  with that tone that only meant disappointment "i did it for a good reason father i knew that if i told you the first thing you would have done was reject my request.." I said "and you are right i would have rejected and not only that i would have held you in here....look what you did to yourself ruby.." He said "look at the bright side dad i won and i did it all alone i fought Alex alone and i won are you proud?" I said smiling "no.." He said my smile turned in a surprised face "w-what?" I asked "i said no now go to your room to change you will be meeting your spouses you will choose one today and have a play date and tomorrow you'll do the same exact thing until you don't find a fitting one for you...." He said "what but father i can't my heart belongs to someone already and you know it!" I said a little too loud "i don't care if she isn't between the girls i picked for you then no you can't marry her now do as i said" he said "i can't believe you..." I said walking to my room "how am i supposed to marry sapphire if my dad doesn't want her.." I asked myself i heard knocking "come in it was peridot "oh...hey peridot what do you need?" I asked "let's leave this place and live with the people we love" peridot said "i-i can't i need to make father proud of me and make him understand that what he is doing is wrong..." I said "he won't understand he won't listen he never does all he cares about is himself ruby for once do what you want and not what he demands...please" Peridot said "I'm sorry if you want you can go to lapis and tell sapphire the truth and that one day I'll see her hopefully..." I said Peridot punched me "what are you saying? Don't you see you are giving up sapphire ruby SAPPHIRE!!!  What has gotten into all of the hard work we did just to free sapphire from that jerk it was all for nothing....then" peridot said "no..she is not going to die and she is free from that jerk...peridot all i was told since i was kid was 'be patient' or 'it doesn't matter if you can't do it' or even 'you can't do it' all  words almost made me give up some times and just never try anything...peridot you don't know what I've been through my all life you were the favourite child of father because you could summon your weapon.." I said "you can do it too i saw you summoning it in the battle" Peridot said "look I'm happy I'm able to but sad because dad won't notice..look i need to change and meet my date if you don't mind i would like you to leave my room" i said "whatever then don't cone crying for help when you understand that what you are doing is stupid"  peridot went out making the door almost break "he's right.....i am stupid..."

Peridox POV

What exactly am i aiming at doing this to my two sons i will end up loosing them for good if  i do what my dad did to me "Peridox we need to talk...now " Rubilette said with an angry look "what do you want woman" i said regretting immediately my tone "what is wrong with you when you married me your father never stopped you from seeing me did he the only thing he did was locking you in the castle and making you have play dates constantly are you imitating him now? You promised to never  treat our kids like your father did you broke your promise...don't bother entering in our room you are grounded" she said "what am i a kid now?" I said " yes you behavior is the same as the one of a kid blame it on yourself Peridox I'm really disappointed of you" Rubilette said what have i done she is right I'm acting like a kid
