Jay POV

"I'm Roberta, but everyone calls me Robbi." Robbi said. she stuck her hand out and I shook it. "I-I'm jay." I said. "that's Kai, Zane, and the one waddling in the back is cole." I said gesturing towards the guys. Robbi giggled. "so looking for a lost dog eh?" she said picking up her duffel bag and continuing to walk. "uh, yes." I said following her.

"Well I'd be glad to help you let me just drop this off at my house." she said " don't mind me asking but don't you have school?" I asked. Robbi nodded. "then..uh.. why aren't you in it?" I asked. "I felt sick." she said. "but not sick enough to walk home?" Zane asked from behind me. "well I didn't actually feel sick, I just needed an excuse to he out if school." she said with no worries at all. "won't your parents get mad?" Kai said. "my parents?" she said turning to Kai "my parents don't care about me." Robbi said with hurt in her voice.

We came to a gigantic building that in big letters said 'Miles Cars'. Robbi pulled open the door and pressed the call box's button. the voice of an elderly man answered the box with a raspy "hello?" I have to admit, I felt sorry for him.

"Eugene? it's me, Robbi i...." before Robbi could say any more Eugene said "Robbi? I don't know any robbi's." Robbi rolled her eyes. " fine it's Roberta." Robbi said with disgust in her voice. "I'm sending my bag up the elevator, have someone take it to my room. ok?" Robbi said "righty-0!" Eugene said. "i'll send someone! have a lovely day!" Eugene said. "he seems nice." I said. Robbi shrugged. he's just a crusty old man." She said.

Robbi pushed the up button on the elevator and like lightening it opened. she threw her duffel bag in the elevator and pushed the 12th floor button. she turned to me, her green eyes staring straight at my blue ones. "ready?" she asked. I nodded. "I think we should start in the birch wood forest."
