Slipped away

Robbi POV

Garmadon withdrew the knife and tossed it aside. jay doubled over with pain. Garmadon grabbed the weapons and the machine and ran out. but no one tried to stop him. jay had sacrificed himself to save me. he fell to the ground. I was instantly by his side.

I rested his head in my lap. I looked him I the eye. "jay, look at me." I said hot tears appearing in the corners of my eyes. His stormy blue eyes gazed at me. "Robbi." he whispered. "why did you-" I began my voice cracking. I looked at his gi. it was stained with blood.

Jhosephina, aris, Kai and Zane all stepped forward to us but cole stopped them shaking his head. "Is there anything we can do to save him?" I ask. they all look at eachother. jhosephina whipped out her phone and stood outside to probably call an ambulance.

I looked back to jay. his gentle eyes still staring at me. "Robbi," he began. "though this is a weak time, you have to learn to be strong.'' he said through gritted teeth. "jay you'll be fine, a ambulance is coming and-"

"Robbi." he cut me short. "I love you." he said softly. I tried to choke my tears. "I love you to." I replied. he turned his head towards the others and gave a weary smile. tears poured down aris's cheeks, and I could see tears were appearing in there eyes as well.

He turned back to me. "Don't forget me." he said slowly closing his eyes. "Never in a million years could I forget you. " I replied. I grabbed his hand and squeeze it tightly, suddenly his hand dropped. his face became pale. he took his last breath.

Jay was dead

My eyes widened. no. no this can't be happening. "jay. jay! no! no! we're in this together!" tears streamed down my face. "we're in this together." I whisper my voice cracked with emotion. I lay on his chest and wished I could hear his heartbeat.

I cried. tears fell like waterfalls. I probably cried for a good ten minutes. Memories of him runs through my mind. I had only known him for a short period time but it felt like I'd known him forever.

I looked at jay again, I could almost hear his voice. his laughter, he had the best laugh. it would be so nice to see those stormy blue eyes again. his eyes fluttered. I leaned forward "now your imagining things." i thought.

I looked at his gi, there was no blood. he opened his eyes. I gasped. "Robbi?" He said. "jay?" I questioned. "didn't I ever tell you not to mess with knives?" he joked with a smile. "Jay!" I screamed tackling him in a hug. he hugged me back. I sat up looking at him.

I backed up and looked at him. we both "how-how are you alive?" I question. "I- don't know." he replies. I wipe a tear from my cheek. was is my tears? was there still magic in me? "Garmadon has your weapons." I said as he stood up. "It doesn't matter right now." I smiled as he grabbed my hands and helped me up but I came toppling down. until now I had forgotten my broken leg. and until now I hadn't realized how much it hurt.

"Robbi?" jay said kneeling next to me. "Garmadon, he broke my leg." I say between gritted teeth. suddenly two guys and a rolling bed thingie came in. They came over to us and jay helped me up onto the bed. Jay ran alongside the be as they pushed it outside to the ambulance.

"We're in this together remember." he said to me. "Always." I responded. The bed thingie was picked up and pushed into the ambulance. Suddenly my parents were there in the ambulance. "sweetie!" my mom said brushing a piece of hair away from my eyes. "where did you go?" my dad asked me.

One of the men put a mask over my mouth and nose to give me oxygen. I closed my eyes, just wanting to sleep.

"My parents care." I thought. jay's voice echoed through my mind.

"We're in this together remember."

"Together."
