Chapter Eight-

We drove into Sydney around ten o'clock in the morning. That gave us about seven hours to get into the concert and find the guys before the show started.

The idea was to act as reporters and walk through the entrance shielded by all the other journalists. We would then follow them into the press room where we would send some kind of signal to the guys that we were there, then we'd see what happened.

Ella was pretty proud of our lame plan, she even had a name for it. 'SOS' standing for 'Save Our Studio.'

Yes, it was lame but it made her happy so I just laughed and nodded even though we both knew anything could go wrong at any time. We'd just have to cross our fingers.

"Oh! Turn here El," I said, motioning to the left.

We pulled into a parking lot and were greeted by a man, a little older than us, wearing a bright yellow shirt and khakis.

"Layla! It's been too long!" the guy said, coming up to me and giving me a bone crushing hug. "And who is this?" he asked, motioning to Ella.

"El this is my cousin, Lance. Lance this is my best friend, Ella." Ella held out her hand but Lance pulled her into another bone crushing hug. I just laughed at Ella's confused expression.

My cousin was a little weird, but incredibly smart. He works for Sony in the photo shop department, creating new ways to enhance filters and camera lenses. That's where we were right now; the Australian Branch of Sony headquarters.

I had called Lance on the way over and explained our whole situation to him. He was a little taken aback by my urgency but I had saved his butt a lot when we were younger and he owed me a favor, or ten.

"Well come with me girls, and just act like you belong here. No one here is really nosey unless you look like total outsiders. Then things can get bad," Lance explained and we entered the large building through a door marked with the words 'Photoshop Department' in large blue letters.

The room we entered was filled with massive machines attached to Apple PCs. Only three or four people were in the lab and no one seemed to pay any attention to the fact that Ella and I didn't work there.

Lance pulled up three chairs and we all sat down at a PC in the back.

"Okay so explain to me what I'm supposed to do," Lance said as he logged onto the computer through a series of passwords.

"We need to look like real reporters to be able to get into the concert, but they won't let just anyone inside. We need fake badges that look so real, the bouncer won't even take a second glance," Ella explained excitedly.

"Okay so I'm going to need a few things from you girls," Lance said logging into a computer application and selecting the program he needed.

We spent the next hour researching reporter badges and slowly but surely creating our own to match the ones we saw. We made up our own newspaper company and selected fake names to go onto our badges, deciding it would be too risky to leave our own on there.

"Okay girls the last thing I need is a recent photo of the two of you," Lance said, hitting save and looking at the two of us. "But I don't know if it's a good idea to have you looking exactly the same because if the boys see you and go crazy, it will give you away. You need to look different and then give yourselves up when the time is right."

"So how do we do that?" Ella asked.

"I have a friend in downtown who is a makeup artist for films that are shot in Sydney. I can take you to her," Lance said grabbing his bag and clicking out of the program after making sure our work was saved.

"Okay but we don't have a lot of time," I murmured, checking my watch.

T-minus five hours until the concert... Let the madness begin.

-----------------------------------------

"Okay love, you can open your eyes now," Aubrey, the film makeup artist, said.

"I don't know if I should," I said, clenching my eyes tight.

"Oh c'mon Lay," Lance said. "You look great."

"Fine," I said giving in and opening my eyes. Facing me was a blonde, who looked a little older than me. She had bright blue eyes, large cheekbones and perfectly manicured eyebrows. She was gorgeous and as I opened my mouth to say something, she copied me. I stared harder, getting closer to the girl, and the blonde followed suit.

"What the hell..." I murmured, and then the realization hit me. I WAS THE BLONDE.

Brunette, green-eyed Layla had been completely transformed into this blonde, blue-eyed supermodel.

"Lance was right, you are good. I didn't even recognize myself," I said thanking Aubrey.

"It's my pleasure love, happy to help!" Aubrey said smiling.

All of a sudden we heard a scream in the room next to ours.

"What the crap happened to me?!"

"Ella?" I said, entering the room where the yelling had come from.

"Who are you?" asked a dark haired, brown-eyed lady. She was incredibly beautiful right down to her pink lipstick.

"Hey El," I said laughing, no amount of makeup could make me not recognize my best friend.

"Layla?! Damn Lance was right, these makeup artists are good!" Ella said laughing with me.

"Girls? We need to get going, the concerts in like three hours and we haven't finished your badges yet," Lance said peeking his head inside Ella's room.

We agreed and after thanking Aubrey and her assistants we drove back to the Sony building.

-----------------------------------------

"Making the final touches, and save!" Lance exclaimed. "They look great girls, I really hope this works..." Lance trailed off.

"It definitely will. Thanks Lance you're the best cousin ever!!" I exclaimed, looking at our final product on the computer screen.

"I'm going to go print these out. Stay here, I'll be right back," Lance said walking out of the room.

"This might actually work..." Ella murmured, a surprised look on her face as we stared at the screen in awe.

"I thought you said you knew there was no way this couldn't work!" I said laughing.

"We both knew this could've been a total disaster," Ella said, laughing with me. "For one, we could've been caug-"

"What the hell are you girls doing in here?" A middle-aged man with jet black hair, similar to Ella's wig said, entering the room. "Ernie go get the manager, we've got two trespassers..."
