Tyler Lockwood was your best friend, but you loved him and you didn't think he loved you like that so you kept it to yourself. What you didn't realize was Tyler was in love with you too and it was so hard for him to keep it hidden.

When Tyler triggered his werewolf curse he started avoiding you. He thought his anger would get out of control and he'd hurt you. He hated not being able to be near you or talk to you but he wanted to keep you safe and he would of never forgave himself if he hurt you in any way. He wanted to learn how to control his wolf side so he left without a single goodbye.

When Klaus arrived in Mystic Falls to break his curse he captured you since you were a vampire he wanted to use you for the sacrifice. You woke up in a cave chained up to the wall. You looked around and saw Tyler passed out and chained up too. "Tyler" You spoke trying to get him to wake up. After shouting his name a couple more times he finally woke up and glanced over at you. "Y/n? Where are we? What's going on?" He asked trying to break out of the chains. "Klaus captured us. He wants to use us in the sacrifice so he can break his curse" you explained.
It was silence for a couple minutes until you spoke up again "why didn't you say goodbye, before you left?" You asked. "Really? You wanna talk about this now?" Tyler asked giving up on trying to unchain himself. "Well if we're gonna die I would like to know why you left me" you whispered the last part. Tyler looked at you sadly, "I was afraid I would hurt you. I'm a werewolf y/n my bite can kill you and I thought you deserved better than having someone like me in your life" he explained. "Are you really that clueless? I'm in love with you Tyler. I don't care if you hurt me I want you" you confessed hoping he would feel the same way. "I love you too" "ugh you guys are gross" Damon said walking over to you and breaking the chains. "I'm here to rescue you" Damon added, getting the two of you out of the cave.
