Despite the fact that she was now in the Sophomore class, Jordyn still found herself yawning as she sat at the back of Spanish. If there was one thing she was counting down the seconds until, it was the end of that lesson.
She loved Spanish, there was no denying that fact. She felt connected to her mother and it was an easy pass. However, the inability of the rest of class was beginning to get on her nerves. It annoyed her immensely. In fact, she had spent the majority of the lesson planning the disappearance tall kid in the seat in front of her. Maybe then Will could help out the rest of the class.
They were going over the basics, which much of the class had ended up forgetting over the holiday. There was one girl in a cheerleading uniform who seemed just as bored as Jordyn, but she was entertaining herself by drawing on the table.
Watching as the boy in front of her circled Por instead of Para, Jordyn ran her hands through her hair as she had the desire to hit her head against the table. Letting out a large breath, she muttered, "Please God forgive me for my projected sins."
Shaking his head, the boy next to her smirked as he turned to her, "If you are planning on making someone disappear, please do. This class doesn't get any more exciting than this."
"Does it get anymore advanced?" She whispered back, tucking her hair behind her ear so she could see him and not just an orange blur.
"Can you picture Finn getting more advanced?" He chuckled quietly, nodding his head towards the tall boy. "I'm Mike by the way."
Smiling at him, she replied, "Jordyn."
"I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" Mike questioned, his brow knitting together.
"Yeah, I'm a Freshman so that will be why you didn't see me yesterday." He looked at her slightly confused by her statement. "Technically, I should be a Sophomore, but I took a year off. So, I'm in Sophomore Literature and Spanish. Though, apparently there isn't much of a difference between the Spanish classes."
Before Mike could answer, Will called, "Pay attention at the back."
"Way to make your debut in a Sophomore class." Mike whispered as Will turned back to the board.
"Maybe if I wasn't sat next to you, I would have payed attention." Jordyn smirked. "Or fallen discreetly asleep."
"Falling asleep cannot be done discretely."
"I beg to differ."

Once again, Math had caused both Jordyn and Tina to roll their eyes at the incompetence of the teacher. There was no way that anyone in the class was unable to add two numbers, but Ms Brent seemed unable to comprehend that fact.
Finally, the lesson was over and the duo began to walk through the hall chuckling about anything and everything. Contrary to how she had been in LA, Jordyn ended up gushing about the cute boys in her Spanish class. Tina happily joined in the conversation, though she didn't seem to have a great opinion of those in the Freshman class. For some reason, that made Jordyn more relieved that she was in Sophomore classes.
As the two girls neared their lockers, the conversation turned to Jordyn's past. It had become known by nearly everyone that she was Emma's niece, despite the fact that she had tried as hard as she could to hide it. However, she knew it wouldn't stay secret for long, Pillsbury wasn't an uncommon name and the family members looked overly similar.
"So, Jordyn, where are you from?" Tina questioned as she walked alongside the ginger, who had recently discovered that nothing stayed secret in McKinley for long.
Turning to Tina, she answered, "Los Angeles."
"But why do you speak such good Spanish?" A confused look spread across the Asian's face. "I-If you don't m-mind me asking."
"My Mom was born in Venezuela, she would regularly talk Spanish to me." Jordyn answered, not bothering to cover up the slight sadness in her voice. It seemed to be unnoticed by Tina, much to Jordyn's relief.
"I wish that I was good enough at a class to be in Sophomore classes." Tina sighed, diverting her steps to her locker.
"I wish I was smart enough to be in my Sophomore year. I am 16 next week and I am a Freshman." Jordyn groaned, raising her shoulder at Tina as she walked past the girl's locker. "I have to meet my Lit partner now."
"See you in Gym Jordyn."
"I forgot I had to take gym now."

Gripping onto the strap of her back pack, Jordyn weaved between the students until she saw Kurt sat on a table on his own. He was looking down at his plate, his face completely blank. After their phone call the previous night, Jordyn was shocked by his appearance. She had pictured him unable to stop smiling, but she guessed McKinley was to blame for his despondent look.
Smiling slightly, Jordyn took the seat beside him instantly asking, "So, what book are we doing are report on?"
"Oh, I didn't see you there." He spoke, letting a smile fill his face. "What texts have you already read?"
"All of them." She chuckled, bringing her water bottle to her lips. "I think I have the most knowledge about Lord of the Flies thought."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Did you know that it was labelled the psychopaths hand book by criminologists?" She stated, covering her mouth as she realised what she said. "And now you think I am a total psychopath because I know that."
"Not at all, you are just widely knowledgeable." Watching as Jordyn shook her head and let a small smile fill her features, Kurt's brow furrowed. "What are you smiling at?"
"Oh, it's just that my friend Matthew would have made a joke about how he already knew I was a psychopath. Or made a Sherlock reference." Jordyn answered, twisting the ring on her finger.
"Can I just say that I love your style. I mean, yesterday and today you have been completely co-ordinated." Kurt declared, causing Jordyn to mentally note his similarities to Matthew. "You are going to have to let me loose in your wardrobe one day."
"Sure, but only if we get a c or above in out assignment."
"Deal."
A/N: She had finally met Mike and I plan on skipping forward a few weeks soon to when Sandy gets fired (the Pilot) so the New Directions will join soon. I hope you are all liking it and understand why some of the characters are acting differently. I feel that many of them acted differently before Glee, so I am trying to incorporate that in.
Thanks for reading this, it means so much.
