Had anyone have told Jordyn that she would be stood in the McKinley corridor, with people from all over the social hierarchy smiling her way, she would have probably laughed at them. Throughout the last few years, she had relished in her ability to hide in the background. She had never been the best at anything, so it was pretty easy, but things had changed since she had moved.

No-one knew quite who she was, or where they stood with her. Rumours of her showdown with Sue had managed to filter their way through the entire student body, and there was no denying that she had an impeccable sense of style, so each student was testing the waters regarding the new redhead.

However, there was one girl who wasn't letting up no matter how much Jordyn tried to back away. Despite having been in the same Spanish class and having neighbouring lockers, Quinn Fabray hadn't bothered to try and talk to Jordyn until it became apparent that she was climbing socially.

For the most part, Quinn was exactly what she looked like: A blonde cheerleader with a pathological need to sit on the top of the social hierarchy of the school. Popularity was her drug of choice, and she was adamant that she wasn't going to let Jordyn steal her place at the top.

Running to catch up with the red head, Quinn plastered a smile onto her face, "I was thinking, why don't you join the Celibacy club with me? All of the other Cheerios are there, it would be a great place for you."

"I don't think so," Jordyn declared, hugging her Spanish folder to her chest. "It's not that I don't agree with all that, I think it's a pretty good idea actually, but I don't understand why there is a club full of girls, who don't really believe in Celibacy, acting as though they believe in it just to get the attention of boys who want a pure girl to corrupt."

Taking in a shocked breath, Quinn looked at Jordyn walked towards her locker. "What do you mean?"

"Look, you may be serious about it. We go to the same church, even if I do hide in the back because you terrify me a lot," Jordyn declared, turning herself to look at Quinn again. "I know you're in the club for the right reasons, but I know for a fact that Santana and Brittany aren't."

Glancing to the red head, Quinn opened her mouth as if she was going to speak but changed her mind last minute. She was well aware that Jordyn was correct, yet she was not going to admit it. At least not aloud.

"Join the Cheerio's instead then," Quinn suggested, trying desperately trying to get the ginger to join something so that she could keep her close and keep an eye on her. "You need to do some kind of extracurricular club, it's the best way to make friends."

Closing her locker, Jordyn replied, "Look, joining Sue and her parade of clones is one of the last things I want to do. I don't want the polyester outfit or the high pony, I just want to drift into the background."

Stepping away, Jordyn let a smile make its way onto her face before adding, "If I was going to join any club, it would be the Glee Club, at least that way I will be doing something I love while being myself."

Watching as the red-haired girl made her way down the corridor, students moving out of her way without out the need for a Cheerios uniform, Quinn pursed her lips in annoyance. She was used to people fighting to get the treatment from her that she was giving Jordyn, but she had met the one person who would turn down her offer.

Still following the Freshman with her eyes, Quinn grew more annoyed as she saw how close the red head had gotten to so many members of the Sophomore student body. She stood out in a crowd, and soon her light would outshine Quinn's. That was something the blonde wasn't ready to stand for.

However, Jordyn hadn't been able to realise the fear that was running through Quinn's veins at the stature she was getting within McKinley. In fact, Jordyn had barely noticed the looks she got from the boys on the football team, or the admiration girls on the cheerio's had when she smiled to them in the corridors.

Unlike Quinn, she hadn't realised any of it. It didn't matter how popular she got; Jordyn didn't want any of it. She never had and she never would. She was happy being a no one, and she never wanted to be a someone.

Turning to face the boy who had called out her name as she walked down the corridor, Jordyn let a smile fill her face. Stepping towards him, she leaned against the lockers to the side of him, watching as he placed his textbooks back into his locker.

"Mike Chang, what do I owe the pleasure today?" Jordyn asked, chuckling slightly. "I thought I would head home straight after Lit today; you know I don't have anything important tonight."

Shaking his head, Mike had a smirk on his face as he replied, "Is that so. Well, it looks like you are missing out then, my talent would have been there for you to see today."

"Talent?" Jordyn chuckled. "Our football team has talent? That's new."

Laughing, Mike stepped away from his locker and nodded his head down the hall, "If you didn't have any plans before the game, we could get some coffee? Or something else if you don't drink caffeine?"

"Who doesn't drink caffeine? Coffee is the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning."

"You didn't tell me that our football team sucked that much, you tried to tell me that there was some talent." Jordyn laughed, walking side by side with Mike as the chill in the air began to get more bitter. "Though, Finn getting hit so many times gave me an insight into where his brain cells have gone."

Shaking his head, Mike looked at the red head before declaring, "We've always been this bad; we aren't much of a team."

"You were pretty great." Jordyn declared, nudging him with her elbow. "Or at least, I think you were. If I'm honest, I don't know the first thing about football."

"I got that when you applauded the other team." Mike declared, causing Jordyn's cheeks to flush slightly. "Do you want me to drop you home?"

Shaking her head, Jordyn announced, "I'm going to walk, get some fresh air."

"Jord, I'm not letting you walk back at this time." Mike announced, as he turned towards his car. "Come on, let me drop you off. I will even drop you off at the end of the street if you want."

Stepping towards his car, Jordyn bit her lip as shook her head, "I don't want you going out of your way."

"I'm offering, it would be rude to decline." Mike announced, causing Jordyn to shake her head at him again. "Now, get in the car."

"If you insist," Jordyn smiled as she opened the passenger door.
