Artemis' POV

After Perseus left me and Thalia went back to the hunt and when we got there all of them were laughing and making jokes. Although some did look slightly guilty but didn't say anything in front of their sisters.

Combine this with what Percy told me and I was even more furious than I was 2 hours ago and that's saying something since I was the maddest I ever was then. Thalia went to sit with her fellow hunters knowing I wanted to talk with them. When they saw me standing there quietly they stopped talking. I spoke slowly showing them how angry I was.

" Girls....... what the hell were you thinking? Can anyone tell me who his fathers are? I already told you, that you should listen to his story yourself let's see how many of you bothered to ask."

Not one hunter raised her hand. I gave them a cold hard stare and looked each and everyone of them in the eyes.

" It looks like my authority is getting questioned. You may be my maidens and like sisters to me, nut it will do you good to remember that I'm still a goddess. Now as for who is father is.."

I finally snapped.

" HIS FATHERS IS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE OLYMPIAN GODS EXCEPT DIONYSUS! Do any of you know what would happen if even one of his fathers were to hear about what you did to him?"

" What did your hunters do to him and what would happen if we were to hear about it, huh sis?"

I spun around and right there stood my brother with the worst possible timing in history. I can't believe what's happening, he'll know if I lie so I have to tell him the truth.

" Listen Apollo, if you promise on the river Styx to not do anything to my hunters then I will have them explain exactly what they did."

I wait anxious for his answer he smiles at me but I could tell he was starting to get unsure.

" Ok sis but it can't be that bad"

Out of the corner of my eye I saw the whole hunt look away. This was not going to go good. So after I made him swear on the Styx I told the girls to start at the beginning. It took them 4 hours to tell me and Apollo everything they did to Perseus. I could tell the longer the story went the angrier my brother got, he was starting to turn into his godly form. When I put my hand on his shoulder he shook it off, I was shocked, he had ever done that before. Nevertheless he dialed his form down a bit enough not to kill my hunters.

When they were finished Apollo was seething. At least one good thing came out of this, now all of the hunters looked extremely guilty about what they did. I could tell they were sorry, but I know Apollo won't see that right now.

" Apollo please don't tell the rest of the council. Father will disband us for this. These girls don't have anywhere else to go."

" WELL NEITHER DID HE!"

All the hunters including me flinched at his tone.

" His mother just died, one year after his first family was murdered. He could have gone anywhere in the world, but noooo he came to us, his fathers. And we send him to get evaluated because he already had training and not from us, from his mother. He accepts a job no normal sane person would accept and even stayed weeks. The worst thing was he knew what he was getting into and still came. One night when he was having a nightmare I slipped into his mind. Do you know what he thought he could get here?"

I shook my head no and he almost whispered it.

" A family. He came here looking to find a family, people that he would be happy protecting and those people being thankful that he protects them and cares enough to tend to his wounds. At first I didn't understand where that part was coming from, but now I know why."

Some of the girls looked ready to let the tears flow. And I myself was feeling extremely bad. Now I too understood why he was so caring with Chloe and so emotionless back at camp. Now we had to wait a week to tell him how sorry we are. Apollo looked at me, I could see he was still very angry about what happened.

" Little sis, if he isn't back in a weeks time then your telling the council or otherwise I will."

And with that he flashed away. Leaving us to drown in our guilt.

Percy's POV

It's been 7 days now and I have to say. BEST 7 DAYS OF MY LIFE! I mean I was on my own, I had a good nights rest, I made myself a big delicious breakfast each morning. Hell it even looked like the fates were on my side since I didn't get one monster attack. It was Elysium on earth, Lady Hestia even came and teached me some new tricks to cooking that I didn't know.

To be honest I was still watching over them, I made an oath and I plan on keeping it. I start my short track back to the hunters camp. When I reach the camp I circle it once to check for any hidden monsters and the mist travel to right in front of Artemis' tent. I give a big sigh and let slip some of my aura as a way of knocking, I know Artemis was waiting for it.

The tents flap opens and I'm standing in front of the goddess of the hunt. She looks at me shocked.

" Perseus, I actually didn't expect you to come back. I mean why would you?"

I just look at her with an emotionless mask without saying a word.

She sighs, " Come in Perseus, we need to talk before you confront all the girls."

I follow her into her tent. Inside was a large bed in the corner with a few pelts hanging from the wall, a bow and a quiver with arrows was propped up in the other corner.

Next to the bed was a small open space and in that space was two identical chairs. Artemis went to one and motioned for me to sit in the other. I sat down still not saying a word. Artemis looks at me anxiously.

" Say something dammit"

I answer her in a emotionless voice.

" I'm not going to the council if that's what you want to hear. If I wanted to do that I would have already." and go into a wordless state.

She sighs again and rubs the sides of her head.

" Perseus-"

But I interrupt.

" Let me stop you there it's Percy. you just never cared enough to know and I'm done, now continue."

The goddess looked at me shocked.

" Very well then huh Percy, after you left my Brother your father came, he found out what happened and you'll be happy to hear he almost killed my hunters so mad was he."

I give a snort.

" You think I would be happy if all of you got killed? Typical. There you go again with your male prejudice. Whatever, what happened next?"

" Well all the hunters does feel sorry for what they did. They've been doing their own chores this week with you gone and I think they now have a better appreciation of you."

I break out laughing so hard I have to hold my stomach, the goddess looks dumbfounded, she's never heard me laughing like this before.

" You truly think that those girls feel sorry for what they did? Are you mental? Can a goddess go mental, hmmm I wonder? And appreciation really? Appreciation my ass, those hunters can't even spell it nevermind feel it."

" I think it best you see for yourself."

With that she left the tent with me trailing behind her. She was walking towards the fire pit where most of the hunters were gathered. When they saw me they all stood up. I was getting ready for a fight when Thalia moved towards me. What I didn't expect was her pulling me into a tight hug.

Then she started sobbing. What was I suppose to do now?

Here I am, Percy Jackson, standing with a sobbing Thalia grace in my arms.
