(Zoe)

Atalanta is one of our newer hunters, meaning she had only served lady Artemis for about thirty or so years. Yet she was almost the best at tracking magic. We were following her directions until we reached the Washington Monument.

I look over at the tracker sitting between me and Bianca. "You sure about this direction. We should be going straight west. That's what the prophecy said."

She nodded, "Very."

All of us piled out of the van and followed Atalanta to the National Air And Space Museum. Thalia checked the door to see if it was open. Suddenly I felt the aura of a monster, but Percy beat me to it.

"I'm going to have a look around. You guys check inside." He slips into Bianca shadow making her shudder. Inside there aren't that many people, a tour group and a family was looking at the hanging exhibits. A few security guards were stationed here and there, but they didn't bother as it only took a snap of my fingers before the mist glazed over their eyes.

Bianca looked around confused, "What now?" She had only gotten a few pointers on how to shoot a bow and arrow before leaving for the quest. Of course Artemis' blessing came with a limited degree on archery skills, we just have to wait and see if she has any talent.

"Since we're here we should search the place. Thalia, you take Atalanta and look for clues in that direction. Me and Bianca will check over here."

She nodded and we split up. We don't really know what clues to look for so anything is plausible. Floor by floor we searched the whole place. I was starting to get worried, what was taking him so long?

Somewhere around the middle floor Bianca asked, "Zoe, do you by any chance know who my godly parent is?" I could see this weighed heavily on her.

"Ask Percy he'll know." She nodded and we went back to work.

On the top most floor the four of us met back up together. Thalia gave me a look to ask if we got anything. I shook my head.

Percy stepped out of my shadow and his brow was beaded in sweat. There was also a hole in his shirt as if someone ripped it off. "We have to leave. Now."

Thalia crossed her arms, "Why? What happened?"

"I saw Luke inside the Natural History Museum. He was there with some guy named the General," I paled at his words, my father can't possibly be here, "he grew some weird skeleton monsters out of the ground, but he also said that he sent a playmate-"

He couldn't even finish his sentence before a large roar was heard. All of us turned to look at The Nemean Lion bounding up the ramp. We scattered at my mark and immediately I shoot off a few arrows, they break upon impact with its fur.

Percy and Thalia were pulling all the attention to them. Thalia's shield mostly, but Percy was constantly in its face, his sword clanging off of its snout. Percy was backed up against the railing when the Nemean Lion jumped. The guardian had no choice but to jump on top of a hanging air plane. The cables keeping the plane suspended in air was not made to take the monsters weight and the exhibit crashed to the bottom floor.

Not before Percy mist travelled next to Thalia, when next moment all of us are on the bottom floor. Courtesy of our guardian of course. He took off running to the gift shop. "Keep it busy I have a plan!"

I didn't hesitate before shooting another volley of arrows, aiming at its mouth and eyes. Thalia charged again bashing the monsters nose. Percy came back out, running with his hands full of...something. He threw it in the Lions' mouth when it roared again. The monster started sneezing and not long before we had a chance to bury a whole lot of arrows in its mouth.
