(Percy)
I was in nowhere near good enough condition to fight. It took most of my strength to keep upright. Already I knew who were in the car and it could only mean trouble.
The white limousine's tracks seem to just start from thin air. In my weakened state I was basically defenceless and that included from the rage inducing aura that had me seeing red. Zoe, Bianca and Atalanta had already drawn arrows and was aiming at the now opening back door. The moment Ares came into view I gnashed on my teeth trying to stay calm. His smirk near sending me into a frenzy.
He lifted his sunglasses, displaying fireballs for eyes. "What's up son? Looks like you've seen better days"
"What do you want Ares?"
Lifting his one eyebrow he said, "See your mother never taught you manners, brat."
I took a step forward, but Thalia stopped me grabbing my arm. "Don't Percy his aura is making your emotions rise."
"I know." Trying to unclench my teeth. "Real manly of you, picking on an injured man, Dad." Spitting the word as if it was an insult.
Ares crossed his arms, his leather jacket tightening around his biceps, tilted his head back and laughed, "You're a man now are you?"
My own eyes burst into flames and my fingers started sputtering with tiny fires. "Come back later and I'll show what kind of man I am. The kind that doesn't gives a rats ass about beating the shit out of one of his fathers."
Ares seemed impressed, but it was kind of hard to tell with the blazing orbs. A melodic voice rose from the open door, "Ares honey, stop playing with the children and let dear Percy inside."
He grunted and took a step to the side, not one of the girls had showed any sign of lowering their weapons. Ares rolled his eyes or orbs or whatever you called them and waved his hand, all the weapons went flying and landed in a pile at his feet. All of them looked at me for a response.
"It's alright guys, I'll hear what she has to say."
The god of war pointed in the abandoned house's direction. "You heard him, he's a real man. He's got it handled. Go get a taco." No sooner had the words left his mouth, appeared there a taco restaurant. My friends reluctantly and with one last look of reassurance headed over to the building. It blazed with yellow lights and the Mexican guy on the billboard tipped his sombrero, seemingly inviting the hunters inside.
"Remember your manners punk."
I ducked down as to not hit my head when getting in and when I looked up Artemis was sitting there, my flaming eyes immediately went out like a candle in a tornado.
"Artemis what are you doing here?" my head was spinning, "I thought you were tra-"
She held up her hand stopping me mid-sentence, "Oh dear. It's worse than I ever imagined."
A knock on the window made me jump. "It's Aphrodite you dimwit."
I closed my eyes trying to get a hold of myself. With the love goddess' charm and Ares' rage aura I wasn't thinking straight. Throw my tired and weakened body into the mix and I was not acting like myself.
Taking a few deep breaths and biting the inside of my cheek seemed to do the trick for the most part. My slowly returning energy also had a part to play. I opened my eyes and Artemis still sat across from me.
Okay it's official, my head was screwing with me. "If you don't cut that out right now..." the ground started to shake and she quickly turned into another form.
