Life with the Blake Brothers
Chapter seventeen
Mason's POV
I paced back and forth in the living room, constantly glancing outside towards the driveway. Why wasn't she home yet? What was taking so long at Smith's house? Writing and casting a play does not take over four and a half hours. She was supposed to be home three hours ago.
My brothers weren't much better, they were constantly calling her phone and texting her. We were all sat on the couch staring intently out the window barely blinking incase she shows up.
"Why won't she answer?" Kyle growled smacking his phone and then throwing it onto the floor. But as soon as he did that he hurried to pick it up just incase she called or texted.
"What could they possibly be doing?" Oliver questioned.
"Having sex." Xavier stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "What else would take this long for her to get home and her not answering her phone. It's because she's a bit too busy with what's his face." I glared at Xavier who just shrugged his shoulders, "It's an option."
"Maybe she fell asleep." Michael shrugged his shoulders as he sat in-between Kyle and Oliver typing away on his computer. He didn't really talk much but when it came to Lexi, he was the first one down here to look out for her. He was a sweet kid, but liked to stay locked up in his room on his computer doing whatever it is that kid likes.
"I doubt it." Kyle snorted referring to Xavier's suggestion. "Remember the whole pathetic pinky promise lover boy over there made with her when they were younger. So I think sex is off the table, at least I hope. But I mean they could have fallen asleep."
"Maybe they went out on a date?" Oliver suggested.
"Guys we're leaving, we'll be back in a little bit." Mom called out as she led the three youngest boys out of the house along with dad who stopped in front of us all.
"Don't be too hard on her when she gets home. There is money on the counter when you guys get hungry for pizza. We're dropping the kids off at grandma's house so behave yourselves." We all nodded our heads before he gave us one last stern look and said, "Make sure that boy didn't do anything to hurt my little girl alright. If he touched one hair on her head, kill him."
"You got it dad." We chorused, happy that at least someone agrees with us.
"Where the hell is she?" I growled once again as I begin pacing up and down. There was no reason she wasn't home by now. And yeah I may be over reacting but she's my best friend and I already missed out on three years of her life, I don't need to miss anymore. Not if I have a say in it.
"You're going to wear the carpet down if you don't stop pacing lover boy." Kyle teased checking his phone one last time before sighing obviously not getting anything.
"I am not a lover boy, she's my best friend."
"Whatever you say." Just then a honk sounded and our heads snapped towards the window. Lexi was walking towards the door and Smith drove away. We rushed towards the door, opening it just before she got the chance.
"Where the hell were you?" I growled out, gripping her arm and pulling her inside. "What the hell takes so long to do?" I sat her down on the couch as we stood in front of her.
"You didn't answer any of our calls or texts Alexandria, we were worried shit about you." She glanced apologetically up at us and pulled her phone out of her purse flicking through the missed messages and calls.
