Life with the Blake Brothers
Chapter Twenty One
Lexi's POV
"Lexi." someone shook me awake, it was a familiar voice and I knew it was one of the brothers but I just couldn't pin point which one it was. "Come on Lexi, wake up."
"The house better be on fire." I muttered and flipped over onto my back where Mason was now straddling me. My cheeks started to heat up, but I turned my head to the side and noticed it was around nine in the morning.
"It's worse than that." he spoke with a straight face. His hands were now on either side of my face and our noses were almost touching. He didn't move and neither did I.
"What could be worse than that?" I asked quietly, our eyes still locking in on each others.
"This note." he held it up before sitting on my stomach and causing my breathe to rush out of my mouth.
"What does it say?" I questioned.
"That everyone left us here alone and locked the doors behind them." he paused and folded the note neatly and set it on my dresser before locking eyes with mine. "Meaning, we're stuck here until they get back."
So I'm stuck in a house, with Mason, the doors locked from the outside and no possible way of getting out. How bad could this be?
Mason's POV
Waking up this morning it was quiet, too quiet, and when I sat up a piece of paper fell in front of my eyes. I untapped it from my forehead and instantly found myself flying up from my bed, checking all the doors to find them locked from the outside. How they managed that? I have no clue.
But as I walked into the living room I found the windows open and looked back towards the stairs making sure Lexi wasn't awake and quickly shut them and then locked them. Rushing up to her room I pounced on her bed before waking her and telling her the news.
"So what are we supposed to do?" she questioned. "Just sit here all day and be bored. Are you sure these doors are all locked?" she looked at me skeptically and went towards the front door pulling on the door knob and having no luck at opening it. "We really are stuck here aren't we."
"I wouldn't lie to you." I told her honestly. I may not be telling her the whole truth, she could easily get out of the windows if she thought about it. Because they couldn't be locked from the outside.
"I know." she said simply and sat back down at the kitchen island right next to me. "We could just watch tv I guess."
I didn't answer her before I grabbed her hand and pulled her from her seat at the island and dragging her towards the living room and plopping down on the couch with her right next to me. My entire left side was touching hers and I couldn't help but feel as her breathing pick up before I moved to get the remote and flip the tv on.
"So, who are you going to prom with Lexi?" I asked her casually when inside I was dying to find out who was taking my girl to prom instead of me.
"Trenton, he asked me the other day when we were... studying, which happened to be right after Tristan--" she cut off.
"What did Tristan do?" I growled. Nothing good came after hearing that name. He was always trying to get Lexi back, and it wasn't going to happen. Not on my watch.
