today is the day. it is friday and aaron has already finished his shift.
zoe planned everything on her own, so things don't go sideways. all she has to worry about is anna and dylan doing their part. aaron is going to be blindfolded, and dylan has to get him to the certain place where the magic will unfold. anna's part is take pictures of zoe whenever she's busy doing something else.
right now, she is getting ready to meet the guy she likes for the first time. finding the perfect outfit, applying the perfect amount of makeup, and trying to overthink. they all seem like easy simple steps to follow but zoe is struggling to do so.
"ugh, this is so boring! why did you feel the need to bring me with you?" anna complains.
"candid!" zoe says as she takes the picture of a complaining anna. "that is your job, by the way."
"i never said i wanted to be a paparazzi either. you honestly never listen to me, do you?"
"you wanted to meet 'lover boy', your words not mine."
"i never thought it would be this boring!"
"whatever, it is not like anything you do will get you out of this."
"wait, hold up, you are saying there is something that will help me get out of this?"
"what do you mean?"
"so there is something?"
zoe ignores her and goes back to getting her getting her makeup done. in the meantime, anna is trying to think of a way to jump scare zoe.
"candid!" anna takes a picture of zoe applying her make up. let's say, it is not your everyday portrait.
"the brush could've gone into my eye!"
"you said it is my job, so i am just doing my job."
the story behind 'candid' is to create and recreate to the reality of aaron and zoe meeting for the first time. by screaming candid each time a picture is taken, the person is not expecting it so it turns out funnier than intended. it is mainly to document their story in a different way.
"okay, i am ready! let's go" zoe announces.
"candid!" anna takes the picture while zoe is looking at her reflection in the mirror, so anna is also in it.
"i am starting to think this was a bad idea." zoe complains.
"i am starting to enjoy this way too much, so this is the best idea!" and with that, they head towards the car.
