Chapter 33: Chocolate Hearts

Shinobu's pov. :

I tiredly shake the bag off of my shoulder and shed my jacket and shoes off at the door. My finals were harder than I'd expected, and it had worn my entire soul out.

As I walk further into the eerily quiet apartment, I notice a pack of chocolate hearts sitting on the kitchen table.

"Odd, I didn't know Miyagi liked chocolate."

I walk over to the table and lift the pack up. It's unopened, probably even freshly bought. I feel my insides screaming at me to open it. And I do think I deserve it, after those hard exams.

"It's his own fault for leaving it openly on the table like this."

I sit down at the table and rip the package open. A few of the fall out and onto the table. I take one in hand and bite into it. The sweet taste spreads all over my mouth and I give out a nice, long sigh.

Moments later, I look down on the half-eaten delicacy and notice something scribbled onto the top. It looks like the letter A.

I put the heart down and look at the rest of the pieces that poured onto the table. They all have letters written on them. I gently pour out the rest of the treats and start arranging the letters.

"H... P... I... 1... Y..."

After roughly 8 minutes of trying to put the letters in the correct order, I finally lean back and read the full sentence.

"Happy 1 Year"

As I sit and grumble over the sentence, I suddenly feel a pair of arms wrap around me tightly. I jump at the sudden touch and look back. It's Miyagi.

"Happy one year anniversary."

I look back at the sweets on the table.

"How did you..."

Miyagi smiles that sly smile of his and chuckles.

"You can order custom made sweets at that coffee shop I took you to last week."

I look at him, then away. He seems to notice my change of mood and looks at me.

"What is it?"

"I-I'm sorry, I forgot..."

He smiles at me once more, then cradles me more into his chest.

"It's alright, you had the exams and all."

His expression then takes on a more sinister appearance.

"But you know you can make it up."

Hellooo people suffering from my incredibly long absence. I am back with yet another crappy, cheesy one-shot story.
