Pairing: Nowaki x Hiroki
-----------------------------------------------------------
The early morning sun was shining in through the little cracks in the blinds covering the window. The rays were hitting Hiroki directly in the face, causing him to wake up from his slumber.

He slowly turned around to greet his lover with a grunt, as it had developed into a habit by now, only to realize he didn't get a respond. He cracked his eyes, careful not to get blinded by the sun rays, and saw no one next to him. Blind and utter panic rushed through Hiroki's veins for a split second. But he soon remembered the events of the other day.
----------------------
-"W-when will you be back, Nowaki?"

Hiroki tried his best to hide his disapproval of the younger man leaving.

-"I'll be back on Friday. So Hiro-san doesn't need to be alone for long. Only three days."

Nowaki was going to Canada for some kind of a newbie medical conference, comprising of several thousands of medical students from around the globe. Nowaki had told that the conference was essential for his studies, so Hiroki really had no way of saying 'no' and standing in the way of the mans educational rights.

-T-that's not the issue. In fact, I don't have any problems with it at all whatsoever. So just take you bags and go already."

Hiroki turned away, but was soon pulled back into a hug.

     -"I'll see you then, Hiro-san."

A small peck of a kiss was landed on Hiroki's head, making him blush like crazy. Nowaki gave one last smile towards him before he left to catch his flight.
--------------------
Hiroki sat up in bed after recalling his memories from the past 24 hours. He then got up and proceeded to make himself breakfast. This must be the first time in decades, as Nowaki had always been up before him, making breakfast for the both of them.

After a half-burnt plate of egg scramble and bacon, Hiroki went on with reading the news with a steaming cup of coffee. He didn't have his first lecture until 11 o'clock, so he really wasn't in a hurry.

On the very first page, with the headline written in letters the size of a full-grown rat, read the article header:
"Multiple hurricanes terrorize the country of Canada!"

Over the article, one city in particular stood up amongst the others. The city of Sherbrooke.

"Wasn't that the city Nowaki was going to? For the conference?"

A slight ping of worry struck Hiroki and he decided to try giving Nowaki a quick call, just to make sure he was alright.

Hiroki sat still while he heard the monotone beeps of the signal. After a good 30-40 seconds of beeping, the line broke off. Hiroki gave a loud sigh as he put his phone away. He buried his face into his hands, trying his best to line his thoughts up.
-------------------------
During the entire day, Hiroki could not think about anything else but Nowaki. During his classes, his mind wondered off every so often, resulting in him repeating several sentences again and again. After class, some of his students even came to ask if he was alright due to him not seeming too concentrated. This pissed Hiroki off, as they didn't know his current situation but still had to comment about it.
------------------------
For the next two and a half days, the news were blaring about the massive hurricane storms all around Canada. This did not ease the pounding feeling of worry, clawing at the insides of Hiroki, slowly eating him alive. He'd tried calling Nowaki approximately 10 times during these days, all of them ending in the line breaking.
------------------------
At 12 o'clock on the third night, Hiroki was sitting on the couch, intensely watching the flashing images before him. Hundreds of reports on the hurricanes in Canada were being played on almost all news channels in Japan. Hiroki's worry grew stronger with every report he watched, yet he was unable to turn the TV off.

Hiroki's phone was laying next to him on the couch, with Nowaki's number on the screen. By now, he had given up on trying to contact his boyfriend. He could only hope Nowaki was safe and sound, and hadn't been plunged into oblivion by a hurricane. Oh God how he hoped and prayed and pleaded.
---------------------
Hiroki was suddenly woken. It was completely pitch black around him, and he could feel a hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently. He was then lifted gently, a pair of arms carrying him through the darkness. Instinctively, Hiroki put his arms around the figure's neck. Then he was laid down onto what he could only assume was his and Nowaki's bed, a weight being added on the left side of him, a pair of arms wrapping securely around him. Hiroki soon found himself drifting off to sleep again in the warmth provided by the figure.
-----------------------
The next morning, Hiroki found himself tangled in the bedsheets and a pair of arms, light breathing on his neck. He glanced to his side, seeing Nowaki fast asleep. A small smile uninvitedly crept onto his face. He then gave Nowaki a few strokes of his thumb on his cheek. Apparently Nowaki felt it, as his features twisted into a smile, a content 'hm' slipping from his mouth.

Hiroki reached closer to Nowaki's face, lightly kissing him and whispering:

     -"I missed you so much"

He was then dragged down by one of the hands and was soon smothered in sloppy yet loving kisses.

     -"I missed you even more~"
