"OoOOoh Olivia's gonna get cozy with her boyfriend!"
"Shut up Theo!" I yelled. The doorbell rang as I was putting on my earrings. I quickly put on my black chunky heels which I only wore once before to my mum's birthday dinner. I wore a dark blue halter dress which stopped right on top of the knees. The dress's top part was decorated with some sort of jewels. I was extremely lucky to find a beautiful homecoming dress in such a short notice.
"Olivia! Peter's here!" my dad called out from downstairs. I opened my bedroom door and I grabbed my small black clutch. I slowly walked down the stairs, trying not to fall down and break my back. At the bottom of the staircase stood Peter, Theo and my parents. Peter wore a black suit with a striped blue tie and a white flower on his blazer. He also wore a cute grin on his face.
"Wow," he said as he reached his hand out for me. I took his hand and as I walked down the final step, I looped my arm into his.
"Beautiful as ever sweetheart," my dad said, smiling.
"Thanks," I said, giving him a shy smile back.
"How about we take some pictures before you go," my mum said. She swiftly took out her phone from her back pocket.
"Oh, I have the corsage," said Peter. I took my arm out of his and he opened the plastic box to take out the white flower corsage.
"I'll take that," my dad said as he took the plastic box out of Peter's hand. I lifted my left hand and he slipped the corsage onto my wrist.
"Okay, picture time," my mum raised her phone. As she took a couple of photos, I smiled genuinely and so did Peter, "Perfect."
"Ok, let's go" my dad said as he grabbed the keys off of the hook on the wall.
The car ride wasn't all too bad. Peter stood back a little from my conversation with my dad but all in all, it wasn't that awkward. Once we arrived, we got out of the car and my dad left.
"We should wait for Lizz and Will. They should be here soon," I said looking at the time on my bracelet. The bracelet I wore wasn't any old bracelet, it was one which I worked on for a couple of days. It had a small touch screen on it and B, my AI, was installed on it. Even though it was high-tech, at first glance the silver bracelet looked dainty.
"Yeah, okay," Peter replied, putting his hands in his pockets. Luckily, since it was a little chilly outside, they didn't take too long to arrive. The old black car stopped right in front of us. Lizz and Will got out of the car, looking better than ever. Lizz wore a beautiful reddish-pink dress and light make-up while Will wore a suit with a dark red tie.
"Hey, guys," Will said. I've never seen his hair look that gelled before.
"This is so weird," I said, "Everyone is so dressed up, i mean. We're not li-"
The car door opened. I didn't even notice that it was still there. Out came Liz's dad. My hands turned into jelly as my heart was beating a 100 beats per second. I couldn't believe he was the Vulture.
"You forgot your purse sweetheart," he handed her a small silvery clutch. I snuck a glimpse towards Peter, he looked as mortified as I felt. An idea popped inside of my head. It was a risky idea but it still was an idea nonetheless.
"Thanks dad," said Lizz. I quickly rummaged through my small clutch and I grabbed my phone. I grabbed it at it's edge with a large force. My phone instantly slipped out of my hand and it smacked itself onto the ground behind the car.
"Oh damn," I said, pretending to be surprised. I walked towards it and as I did, I pressed the touchscreen on my bracelet a couple of times and a small tracker came out of the back. As I bent down to reach my phone, I stuck the tracker onto the car.
