Chapter 8 - Comforting

Izzy's POV:

My eyes widened. My mind began to race. My breathing came heavy and my vision became blurry from my tears.

"What." I said threw gritted teeth.

"Elizabeth I'm so sorry" Justine said calmly.

"No. You are all lying!" I yelled at everyone in the room. "No. There's no way. They can't."

My head started pounding and the room felt dizzy as I stood there, breathing heavily and tears streaming down my cheeks.

I turned to Claudia who had a big smirk on her face. Seeing her smirking pink lips made me furious.

"It was you wasn't it!" I yelled at her, getting close to her face.

"No. It wasn't me you psychopath." She scoffed at me and took a step back, almost falling into the chair behind her.

"Yeah! Then why are you laughing and smiling about it! Huh!?" I screamed at her.

I saw fear rise in her pink eyes. I smirked at that.

"I don't care about your family. They mean nothing to me." She said dragging out her words.

That made me snap.

I clenched my hands into fists hard, digging my nails into my hands.

"Izzy" Damon whispered into my ear, I dug my nails in harder drawing a tiny droplet of blood.

I released my hands when I saw Claudia's eyes turn blue.

Oh uh.

Damon grabbed the hand that had the blood on it and gripped it tightly.

"I think we should go" Richard said raising from his chair.

"Good idea we can continue this tomorrow." Justine said also raising from her chair. "I will get one of the maids to show you to your room."

Claudia's eyes where now a mix of pink and blue, I smirked at her. She furrowed her brow at me.

"Claudia." Richard called. She obediently left from my gaze and joined Richards side.

"We to will continue this tomorrow" she spoke in my mind.

Richard and Claudia left the room, it was now Damon, Justine and I.

Justine let out a loud sigh and walked over to me, she placed a hand on my shoulder and gave me a sad smile.

"I am so sorry." She said quietly.

I was still so angry I couldn't speak any words. I nodded in response.

"I suggest you take her outside for some fresh air and to get cleaned up before coming back" Justine said to Damon, and then left without another word.

Damon pulled the hand he was holding so I was now facing him. I immediately looked at the ground. My eyes were filling with tears. I held them in as best I could.

He didn't say a word he just pulled me into a gently embrace and held me. I wrapped my arms around him and leaned my face against his chest. I was fighting back tears, some did escape down my cheek.

He stroked my hair slowly and just held me. It was nice, to be like this with him. After sometime I just let the tears fall, it was killing me to keep it all in.

I cried against his chest and he tightened his grip on me.

"Shh. It's okay Izzy I'm here for you." He whispered into my ear.
