Over the next two weeks, as Jay's leg healed, his relationship with Ms. Harper became even more heated as their tutoring sessions would begin to run over five minutes, then 10 minutes over. One day, they almost stayed until 6:30 pm.
He just couldn't keep his eyes off of her during class as she read from Romeo and Juliet - the current play the class was reading.
"The theme here is love. Romantic love, unrequited love and most importantly forbidden love."
Her eyes landed on Jay who ensnared her with his long gaze.

The classroom burst into a symphony of snickers and giggles, snapping her back into focus.
"Don't shy away from the subject, class. I'm sure that even some of you here may have felt these feelings of love before."
"Have you ever been in love, Ms. Harper?" Jay's voice cut through the classroom buzz as the room fell silent. He looked around the classroom at his classmatesas as they all looked back to Ms. Harped intrigued - waiting for a response.

Part of him wanting her to say yes. Say she's in love with Jay and they run away after the bell rings.
"Well...yes, I have - in fact - I am," she said.
Murmurs of gossip spread about the classroom.
"Who is it, Ms. Harper?" a student asked from the back.
"He's a wonderful man named, Marc," she said, snapping Jay out of his fantasy.
"And you love him?" Jay pressed, hoping she'd say no.
"Yes I do," she insisted.
Her words cut Jay like a knife.
