The Impures

Chapter 2

Two days had passed since Damian and Raven had their fight, and they haven't spoken to each other since, Raven hadn't even seen Damian for the past two days with him either held up in his room or out patrolling Jump city. Kori told Dick about what had happened and he went to talk to Damian but that ended badly too with a fight breaking out. On the third night Raven was meditating at around 2 am when her mind subconsciously reconnected the mind link she had cut between Damian and herself after their argument, she suddenly was flooded with images of a dream.

confused by this Raven tried to make more sense of the images that were playing in her mind, it was only then she released who's dream this was. She watched in shock as she could see Damian fighting the rest of the team taking them down one by one. she watched Damian finally finish off Blue Beatle as he started making his way over to where she was on the ground already, that's when she heard it, an old man's voice getting louder as Damian got closer to her "KILL, KILL THEM ALL, CLEANSE THIS WORLD OF ITS HUMAN FILTH MY IMPURE CHILD, MAKE THEM SUFFER."

The voice repeated to Damian over and over again. Pointing his katana at Ravens face as she looked up at Damian, not believing what she was seeing as he lifted his sword up both his head and swung it down.

Her eyes busted open as she fell to the floor from levitating, hearing a barely audible yell come from Damian's room which meant he must of awoken from the nightmare too. Still baffled by what she just saw, it took her a moment to recognise the crime alarm going off to signal there was trouble. Quickly getting into her uniform she made her way to the common room we're she was met by Garfield, Jamie and a very tired Donna who looked as if she was haft asleep, that's when she noticed Damian start to walk into the room but stopped at the door way, crossing his arms as we all awaited to be informed of the saturation. Returning her gaze to the TV as Batman appeared on the screen with his usual stern frown, everyone instantly straight at the site of him except Damian who lingered at the back of the room just close enough to hear what his father had to say.

"Titans we have a saturation, for that past week the Justice League has been keeping tabs on the notorious Ape genius Gorilla Grodd who escaped Arkham Asylum one month ago, he has been seen working with a mystery clocked figure in an abandon ware house north of Jump city's industrial district." Everyone except Damian looked at each other "why hasn't the league gone after him yet?" Jamie asked, confused at why the league hadn't just taken care of Grodd already "if Gorilla Grodd is up to something then it is the league's job to collect information on what ever it is so we can be prepared to face him when the time is right! However, we have received reports of strange light and low levels of tectonic activity in the area with in the past hour and since most of the league is either off world or has other more important assignments to deal with at this point in time, I am sending you to investigate the ware house and if possible, detain Grodd and his partner but be careful he's crafty! Both Star Fire and Nightwing will meet you at the ware house in 10 minutes, good luck." Batman finished as he terminated to call.

Everybody began to make their way to the designated meeting spot, Beast boy turned into a hawk and flew their along with Blue Beatle, Raven and Wonder girl while Robin took the R cycle. Everybody got to the meeting spot in record time upon an old apartment building besides robin who had decided to do some recon before meeting the other without anyone knowledge. The rest team met up with Star fire and Nightwing who asked of Damian's where about and was returned with confused faces and unknowing looks "I though he was with us!" Beast boy spoke up "doesn't matter!" Nightwing interrupted everyone's thoughts, still annoyed with Damian after their little fight the other day, not really caring if he was going to be there or not "What does matter is the mission at hand, as you all have been informed by Batman, Gorilla Grodds up to something and if the justice league is worried about it, then we should be worried about it! Beast boy, Raven I need you two on recon, I want to know every entry, exit and person within a 500-yard perimeter of the ware house..."
