Chapter 7

RAVENS POINT OF VIEW

After I got back to my room I just sat in the middle of my bed, thinking about what just transpired between me and Damian. Its not like anything really happened between us but the look he was giving me when we just stood there staring into each other's eyes made tingle's run up and down my spine like I was being electrocuted. Damian and I had become friend's shortly after the events with my father and have been slowly getting closer and closer ever since, we would watch movies together, talk into the late hours of the night and just sit in silence and read together. But now ever since he started having those nightmares brought on by his Grandfather, Damian started to become they distant and angrier the usual to everyone including me.

When I first joined the titan's three years ago I was very unemotional and distant towards everyone, never wanting to talk and always wanting to be alone. but now I have leaned to show, express and talk about my feeling without blowing up a city or leveling the tower and I thank the entire team for that, I just wish I could help Damian with his problems the way he helped me with me.

A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts, getting up off my bed I made my way to the door. Opening it I was greeted by an overly happy Donna and Garfield "hey mamma wanna grab some ice-cream?" Gar asked in a flirty kinda way which surprised me considering he apparently just lost the love of his life less than a month ago.

"I'll pass" I simply said as I began to close my door "aww come on, plezzz!" he returned being a little over-enthusiastic with the please "yea come on it would be good to get out and have some fun!" Donna said to me with a smile so big on her face it looked like her head would split in half.

"fine" I finally agreed, not just so they would stop harassing me but also to get some fresh air. We met Jamie downstairs who was waiting for us in his car since he just got his license with him turning 17. Getting into his car with Jamie in the driver's seat, Garfield next to him in the passenger seat and me and Donna in the back we took off down to the shore.

We arrived five minutes later down at the boardwalk, where we got out and started making our way to one of the many shops littering to shorefront. I wore my usual civilian cloths which consisted of a casual blue shirt, black jacket, a black short skirt and my usual combat boots.

We stopped out the front of the desired ice-cream shop as everyone began to order what they wanted. Taking in the fresh ocean air and ambient sounds of wave's crash against the beach as I stood in line to order I almost forgot about all my worry. "so, Mamma what ice-cream tickles your fancy" Gar said right in my ear, ripping me out of my peaceful bliss. "go away, Garfield!" I said dryly as I stepped forward in line.

"Aww come on Rae Rae I'm only trying to have some fun with you" Beast boy returned still trying to flirt with Raven, "I thought you were all heartbroken about Tera?" I asked, making my way to the front of the counter and asking for two scoops of cookies and cream in a cup "yea but sometimes you just got to get over thing's and move on with life." The green changeling replied while wiggling his eyes at the half-demon as she walked over to Donna and Jamie.

I shook her head in annoyance as we found a table to sit at overlooking the Beach. I just sat there with my elbow on the table and my head leaning on my hand looking down at my half-eaten cup of ice-cream until Donna began to speak "hey what do you think Kori and Dick are going to do about Damian?" looking up I see Jamie shrug "I don't know que amigo but it's pretty scary to think we could have a ticking time bomb in the tower with us!" "yea, Damian's been scary since day one but now to think he could turn around and try kill us out of nowhere freaks me out." Beast boy said looking at Jamie with a worried expression.

"what's even scarier is that old guy that walked out of the portal thingy and claimed to be Damian's Grandfather!" Donna butt in while she finished the rest for her ice-cream "when we got back to the tower that night I looked him up. Turns out he's a complete psycho who practically sold his and his entire family's souls to the devil for eternal life" Jamie explained turning back to Garfield "well I guess we now know where bat brat get his psycho behavior from!" Garfield said with a laugh.

Sick of hearing them talk shit about Damian instead of trying to help him, I got up out of my seat and began to walk away "hey Rae where are you going?" Gar asked confused "somewhere where I don't need to listen to your guys talk about our teammate behind his back!" I then put my hand up and made a portal back to the tower.

I stepped through the over side of the portal to find my self in the common room of the tower where I was greeted by the sight of Kori and Dick making out on the couch. My face went crimson red as they noticed me standing there "Oh Raven I didn't see you there, I thought you and the others went out?" Kori said, quickly getting off the couch, fitting her self and making her way over to me "we did but I decided to come back early" I replied before making my exit from the room.

I walked down the hallway to my room but before I opened my door to enter I could hear the faint sound of things being thrown and yelling. My expression softens as I stood there wishing that I could just go to him, hold him and tell him everything was alright.

But I couldn't, I wish we wore close enough to but we just weren't there yet nor would we ever be. I thought I should just leave him alone for now and let him blow off all his anger and try chatting with him later.

I walked into my room, closing the door behind me and began to meditate, chanting 'azarath, metrion, zinthos' over and over again as I entered the depths of my mind, returning to the world neverland.     

hey, my peeps hope u like the story so far. tried a new writing style so tell me whether I should keep with it or go back to the way it was before! ill try get another chapter out tomorrow but I've been a bit busy lately but well see :)
