A bright crystal of red and black energy levitated in the middle of a dark room, it's deep crimson light shining on the features of an older looking man with long white hair. hand reached out he swayed it left and right making the crystal of rough Apocalyptic energy move and jump around agitated.

A chuckle escaped the man's lips as a door behind him slid open "father!" Nyssa addressed him as she made her way to his side "it's incredible isn't it?" Ra's took the crystal into his hands to observe it more closely "to think that this could return someone to the living and give them untold power that would challenge the likes of Darkside himself!" he explained as he held it I front of his face inspecting it.

"Did you bring the amulet I asked for?" Ra's al Guhl questioned looking across to his daughter with an expecting frown "yes father." She answered simply, handing him the ebony black amulet with an empty slot in the center of its piece.

A large smirk spreader across his lip's as he began to place the crystal into the empty slot of the amulet. A burst of red light lit the room for a moment as the red gem slipped into place, Nyssa's eye's wide with awe as she watched her father put the amulet around his neck "now no one will ever be able to strike me down again." Ra's announced as he stared at the crystal mounted on the amulet around his neck.

DAMIAN'S POINT OF VIEW

I couldn't remember how long I had been sitting in my room, or the last time I slept. All I could think about was Raven. It was a strange feeling I had only ever encounter with my mother, but different. It was a feeling which made my chest heavy and my heart rate feel as if it had risen tenfold.

My training wasn't just physical but also mental so that I could defend against mind attacks or hewn my emotions in battle. I was told love was an imaginary emotion created by society, that it would always cloud your judgment and did no good to protect you in battle.

I was in a mental stand off to say the least, one part of me wanted to follow my emotions for Raven as premature as they might be and the other kept telling me to stick with my training and not let it get in the way. It didn't help that I was also a ticking time bomb that could kill every member of my team any moment.

I sighed, getting up off the floor of my room and walking to my dresser to collect a hoodie. Pulling it over myself I walked out of my room and down the hallway to the elevator. Clicking G on the elevator panel I began my descent to the ground floor, once arriving I proceeded through the entry hall of the tower and out the front door.

After I left the tower and crossed the bridge connecting Titan's tower to the mainland and I just kept walking in whatever direction my legs would take me. It was beginning to get dark as I made my way along a footpath heading towards Jump City's center. With my hand's in my pockets and the hood of my red jumper over my head, I continued along the sidewalk as I approached an ally way in which I could hear the screams of a young woman in distress.

Immediately recognizing the saturation, I jumped into action, sprinting down the alleyway I heard the screams. Rounding a corner and sprinting down another alley I found six men ranging in their early twenties to late thirty's surrounding a terrified woman with streams of tires running down her face as she was passed around between the men for their own entertainment.

Feeling an enraged fire build up in me as my anger began to swell I charged at the group with a razor-sharp Batarang in each hand. jumping into the middle of group I kicked one of the men in the face as I slashed another across the eye with one of the Batarang's, the man clenched his face with blood coursing from his cut eye as I went on to kick another unsuspecting thug in the knee, forcing it to snap back in an unnatural way.

Flipping in the air over another thug, I grabbed his head mid-flip, forcing it back as he went crashing into the ground head first falling unconscious instantly. Just dodging a blow from one man wielding a crowbar an another with a butterfly knife, thinking fast as the one with the knife came at me I grabbed his wrist with the blade in it and forced it into the chest of the guy next to him, grabbing a hand full of the guy's hair I brought his head down as It connected with my knee.

Turning to the last guy which began run away screaming for help I shot my grapple claw at his legs as he fell to the ground, dragging him back into the alleyway where I still resided I began to feel an uncontrollable hatred and anger like never before washing over me as I started beating the man to within an inch of his life with my fist. he laid hopelessly on the ground crying for help as blood began to flow out of his mouth with every punch.

The woman now free watched in horror as I landed hit after hit to the thug's face and chest who was now heaving for air and mercy. In the background, sirens could be heard approaching from a distance but I didn't care as I continued to beat the man.

No one's point of view

Blood was now oozing from nearly every orifice and began to gather in a puddle surrounding the man's unconscious body as the police and ambulance arrived. They were shocked at what they saw and began to try and restrain Damian as he continued to beat the nearly lifeless body, getting even more angry with the polices arrival he began to fight the officer's trying to apprehend him, punching one in the face and winding the other as a third officer shot Damian with a stun gun which still didn't stop him as he began to go after the officer who shot him.

Final falling unconscious after getting hit with two more stun gun shocks he collapsed to the floor as officers began to put handcuffs on him.
