The Impures

Chapter 3

As Beat boy and Wonder girl hid behind some shipping crates by the north entrance waiting of Star fires command to enter, Beast boy picked up the scent of possibly more guards approaching for behind them, alerting Donna on the possible danger, they failed to relies they had been tricked as a blast from an apocalyptic weapon shot though the crates they were hiding behind incapacitating them instantly as the shooter walked up to the now unconscious Beast boy and Wonder girl, signaling to his men to detain the two Titians, putting inhibitor collars around their necks and cuffing them from behind as they began to take them into the ware house. cocking his gun as a charge cell jumped out of the weapon, the man who pulled the trigger smirked as he began to make his way to the other titans to do the same to them.

Meanwhile on the south side of the ware house Star fire, Raven and Blue Beatle waited out of sight for the rest of the team to contact them to say they were in position and ready. Oblivious to what had happened to both Beast boy and Wonder girl they waited patiently until Beatle spoke up "where are they its nearly been ten minutes?" asking in a hash whisper. Thinking about what Jamie had just said, Kori began to quietly make contact with the rest of the team to see what the holdup was, putting a finger up to her ear piece she spoke "Wonder girl, Beast boy do you read?" no response so she tried again "Wonder girl, beast boy do you read?" still no response.

Looking to Raven and Jamie with worried looks she tried Dick and Damian "Nightwing, Robin do you come in?" Kori asked, hoping they were ok. Meanwhile down in the sub-way Robin was cutting though the service hatch with his laser cuter (it's a one-off gadget Damian had.) while Nightwing was on look out, since they didn't want to alert anyone else any more then they probably already have. "Nightwing, Robin do you come in?" Dick heard thought his ear-piece, looking to Damian who had overheard it, he responded "read you loud and clear, we're nearly ready down here!" "its not that, Wonder girl and Beast boy are not responding! Have you heard from them?" Nightwing looked to Robin who shook his head "no we haven't! are they in trouble?" replied worried on where the two could be, as Dick and Kori communicated back and forth on what could have happened to the two missing titans Damian finished cutting though the service hatch.

Lifting up the now cut off hatch and sliding it across the floor of the room above, Damian pocked his head though the now open hatch, once checking the cost was clear Damian jumped though into the room. pressing the right side of his mask as he stayed crouched in the dark room, his eyes went a bright blue to indicate that his sonar was now on as he started taking in his surroundings. He turned out to be in some kind of office riddled with old book shelfs and a worn oak desk I the middle of the room, finding the door, he proceeded to it, opening it slowly as he ended up in a pitch-black hall way, looking up and down it he began running in the direction he believed Gorilla Grodd was in.

 As Nightwing continued his conversation with Star fire of the whereabouts of the missing titans he looked back up to where Robin was to find the trap door cut open and Robin gone. "SHIT" he cursed getting a very concerned Star fire ask what the problem was "Robins gone off on his own again!" he replied back as he made his way up the ladder, though the open hatch and into the dark office "I'm going after him!" said Nightwing before terminating the transmitting as he ran forward into the room, turning on his own sonar so he could see, running out the already opened door and making his way down the hall way in the opposite direction of Damian unknowingly.

"wait we need to..." Kori tried to say before being cut off, sighing in annoyance "what's wrong?" asked Raven, concerned on what was going on "Rabin's gone a-wall again and Nightwing has gone after him plus we still haven't heard from Beast boy or Wonder girl!" Kori said in an annoyed tone, seeing the mission falling apart by the second. Just as Jamie was about to say something a high pitch noise flooded their ears as they collapsed to the ground holding their hands over their ears, Jamie began to scream in pain as his armor suddenly vanished. Left in just his track-suit pants and a singlet he fell unconscious, "JAMIE!" Kori yelled, looking up she could see the root of the ear-piercing sound, a woman stood about 10 feet away from them holding out a small gun shaped devise with a smile on her face.

Conjuring up all the strength she had, she shot a powerful energy blast at the girl who went fling back words, hitting a shipping container denting it and falling unconscious from the impact. After helping Raven up she went over to Jamie to check if he was ok, he slowly began to wake up, realizing he was no longer in his armor, he tried talking to his scarab but it was silent. Thinking it must have been disactivated or turned of from the high frequency sound, Kori slowly started to help him up when she hears Raven scream as she was shot with a red energy beam and falls to the ground unconscious from the blast. Shocked by this Star fire turned her attention to a man holding a cannon like device strapped to his chest, but by then it was to late, both Kori and Jamie were hit as everything went black.

Making his way though the corridors and down another two hall ways, Damian finally made it to a large, open factory floor, looking around the room his eyes imminently went to a large steel tank with a glowing purple liquid in it, lighting the area in front of it revealing a large ring-shaped contraption standing upright with a small stair case leading up to it. As Damian began to make his way forward towards the circular machine he heard someone begin to speak "It's quite impressive isn't it." Recognizing the voice immediately, Damian drew his katana from its sheath readying himself for combat "I like to call it Hells Gate, an inventive of my own design and I must say I'm quite impressed with myself!" the voice bragged "What do your want Grodd?" Damian ask watching a large figure slowing emerge from the shadows.

"Oh, contraire young Robin, it's not what I want but what I already have." Gorilla Grodd fully emerged from the shadows as he finished his sentence, the lights suddenly shot on. Covering his eye from the bright lights, he began to see all the titans hanging from chains wrapped around their arms leading up to a metal walk way above the factory floor with inhibitor collars around their necks to keep them from using their powers.

Damian saw this and got pissed "WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?" he yelled at Grodd just about ready to blow up "hahahaha... I haven't done anything to them, their all merely unconscious, but I would be more concerned with what your going to do to them!" Grodd laughed a bit more as Damian gave him a confused frown, that's when Damian noticed the clocked figure Batman warned them about walking out of the shadows from behind the machine. The figure pulled its hood down to revealed someone Damian though he would never see again Nyssa al Ghul, "long time no see Damian or should I say Robin." Nyssa greeted her nephew with a smirk.
