Fallacy P.O.V

I stood in my room in the same stance as to when Encre had left. My heart felt as if it had been crushed by Encre's hand itself, but it has not. I was rushing everything . I was expecting the impossible and in return got the hard part of it. I should have waiting for her to accept me. But of course I didn't because I was too impatient.

I placed my hand on my forehead unknowing what I should do. I scared her away and I can't take it back. But I can fix it.

I ran after her and soon enough I caught up to her, "Encre, come with me for a minute."

She didn't answer me so I reached out and took hold of her hand with a firm grip. She did her best to pull away, but I gripped her hand tighter to be sure she couldn't.

Finally Encre stopped and turned towards me, "Let my hand go or I'll kick you."

I gazed at her intent that I scooped her up and off her feet. She let out a surprised gasp while I started to make my way down stairs and to the doors located near the back of the castle.

"Put me down!" She shouted, "Or you'll get a knee square in your face. My knee!"

I slowly began to smile even when I didn't listen to her threats because I know her words were meaningless. Even if she had tried to inflict harm on me it would do absolutely nothing.

"Where are you even taking me!?" She questioned loudly.

I chuckled, "A surprise."

She mumbled before she finally stopped struggling. I opened the doors and emerged from the castle into my flourishing gardens. I placed Encre back down on her feet and held her arm as if she would suddenly fall from all the bright colors.

I heard her gasp and allowed her eyes to follow around. They all wandered to unusual, unique flowers and plants that could only be found in this forests itself and places from all around.

"It's so beautiful." She baffled, "I don't know what else to even say about it."

Deep in my heart I felt the singe of pride swell up. I'd done the right thing and it felt superb. Excellent. Wonderful. Emotionally acceptable. I felt myself beam because I was not only pleased but amused as well. She looked eager to continue looking around, glancing and practically breathing it all in. She was in wonderland itself. Her curiosity I could see had taken her over as she had filled her mind with questions of bewilderment.

This was so much better to take in than the small heart break I had experience earlier. Maybe this was a start. I just can't push my luck and I know I won't. I won't take that chance...at least not again.

"I never knew about this marvelous garden. It absolutely astonishing!" She smiled.

The delight of her words continued to allow the pride to swell up and disperse throughout my body.

"That's indeed a wonderful thing to hear. Especially from a lovely such as you" I mused.

Her face flushed in a quantity of bright colors. Did I embarrass her? Possibly yet her blush was simply exquisite. Or as other may put it - adorable. I savored the look of her at this moment. Something I will never forget. Something that I don't want to forget. This is proof that she is slowly getting comfortable with me and opening up. And this is something I must hold onto if I want to keep her.

************

She continued to wander and ask away about her questions for about an hour or so. Most of the questions she had asked had not been said out loud, instead I had read her mind and answered them kindly. A few of her questions I found quite amusing and couldn't help but tease her for it. In the end most of her questions had been answered and my shin had been kicked by her fragile foot.

One of my maids had entered the gardens, " Lord Fallacy. I am dearly apologetic, but I have news I must cast on to you."

I looked away from Encre and to one of the maids, "What's the news you bear?"

The maid had looked from Encre and to me with a worried glance, "The counsel had suggested to come and have a emergency meeting about the kingdoms. Apparently the news of the missing artist had spread and the villagers are taking manners into their own hand. They plan to enter the forest in attempt to save the young lady or possibly endanger those who follow your command my lord. What must we do?"

My heart dropped. The Counsel? The kingdoms?

I spoke, "Are you positive that the Villagers have tried to take matters into their hands? Are you sure the king had not proclaimed a reward for the return of the young woman?"

She shook her head, "I am not sure. I am completely in the dark as are you. I gained this news to tell from the counsel itself. They claim to be coming in a few days. And young Master Jasper has not come home yet from visiting the Northern kingdom. I believe he will arrive on the day of the counsel."

I took a deep breath trying to make sense of everything, "Very well. You are dismissed."

Before leaving she curtsied and went back inside through the open doors. I looked over at Encre who was still marveling over the blue and pink flowers.

What am I going to do now?
