Asgore's P.O.V
I was growing more and more anxious by the minute. My frustrations ready to explode out of me. I had to find Encre and terminate her as soon as possible. She could destroy me if she was given the chance and at all cost I'd have to make sure that opening would never happen. I'd have to make the plan of attack flawless.
"My king!" One of my soldiers shouted as the grand doors to the palace opened.
He walked quickly but stopped before he would go up the stairs and to me while I sat at my large throne.
I remember when this throne used to be puny but I had it rebuilt for both me and my son. My wife left us when she thought I was doing bad things and she was probably right, but that doesn't change my feelings for her.
I let out a sigh and stiffened up to show who was in charge, "What is it?" My deep voice boomed and echoed in the big room that had a chandelier danging from the ceiling.
"The hunter isn't back yet." He seemed worried and I understood why. He was engaged to her and so he had all rights to worry about his future wife.
My chin rested on the palm of my hand, "Is that all?"
"My king she's m-"
"I know who she is." I cut in, "Throw in more men and be sure you can take Encre away from that vampire."
Another soldier came in unannounced and I knew I might have an excuse to have a execution.
He was more confident and he tried to use his presence to over power mine, "It's not just Vampire's anymore my king. Werewolves."
"Werewolves?" I repeated.
He nodded his head, "We've been losing men to them."
I took my hand away from my chin and balled it up in a fist, "Do you know where they're holding Encre?"
"In the Vampire's castle in his room." The soldier straightened up more with his arms at his side to show loyalty but I wasn't buying it. His presence was definitely trying to over power mine.
"Why don't you try retrieving her during the night." I was running out of idea's.
"But the Vampire is more active during the night." He countered and I felt my blood boil as he argued with me.
"Cause a distraction at the front of his castle near the main entrance before grabbing her." I told him as my eyes dug daggers at him.
"My king, that's suicide!" The soldier was raising his voice while the other stayed completely quiet. Smart move.
"Do you dare go against me!?" I was really testing his loyalty now.
"Of course not my king." His head bowed down as his eyes diverted from mine.
"Then go."
"Yes my king." Both men bowed before turning and retreating out the doors. The large double doors closed with an echoing boom and I was left by myself.
Asriel came in from behind the curtain that leads to our chambers, "Father why do you want to execute Encre?"
I ignored my worry and just spoke without looking at my son, "She's a threat to both of us."
Asriel was besides my throne in an instant with his hand on my shoulder, "But she has pure, royal blood. Imagine how rare that is father."
I never really thought of that. Could the enemy really become an asset?
"And all of her allies right now." Asriel had a small smile on his face, "We could use her against them father."
I nodded, "We might have a chance to take both those species out."
My son moved until he was in front of me and I noticed the chalice in his hand as he drank some of the wine, "We can become royal, father, with the help of Encre."
I continued to evaluate the possibilities and my son was absolutely right. Encre could help us become a royal family.
I arose from my thrown as it groaned in protest which meant it was getting quite old. My son stood besides me and both of us went to the opposite side of the chambers. We went to the dungeon.
"Father if I married Encre then we would be considered a royal family." Asriel began again with excitement, "We can change the mind of the people and tell them the Vampire brain washed her into being with him and the Werewolves helped. Everyone can be against them."
I nodded once again, proceeding to think as we stepped down the stairs and into the pit of hell. The dungeon smelled like waste and death. Some of the things behind the bars were crying and others were screaming from becoming mad. If not that then they were eternally silent or dead. I'd consider all of them dead anyways.
"Father, we can have the upper hand."
I stopped at one of the cells and stared inside of the dark cage. At the corner there was a man who was hunched over, sitting down. He seemed to be giving up or so I thought. I knew better than to think this man wished for death. He wished to have his sister back.
The man had no shirt and he was silent for the time being. I could see the scar on his chest where the knife pierced through but he somehow didn't die. I kicked the bar and it rattled causing the man to slowly look up.
He showed me a small smirk that was exhausted from being in the dark all these years, "Have you come to kill me?"
I didn't dare touch the disgusting bars with my hands, "I came to see how much misery you were in."
Asriel shifted besides me as amusement flashed in his eyes as the man sat up more to get a good look at us both, "Well, you make sure I don't die so there's that."
Asriel spoke up this time, "How long have you been here...hmmm...seventeen years?"
The man spat, "I don't care."
I smirked this time, "You will once my son marries your sister."
For a few minutes I allowed this to sink in as his face paled, "My...Sister..."
My son and I went back to the stairs as he stood up and rattled the bars with his hands aggressively, "Don't you dare touch my sister!"
But we ignored him and left to make arrangements.
