I was completely speachless. Fallacy's hand swept to the small of my back as an act of comfort.

"I apologize for speaking of this tragic event but I felt you needed to know." Fallacy spoke to me gently.

I took a step towards him hesitantly and wrapped my arms around his neck. Tears streamed from my face for the family I lost. Fallacy hands went up and down my back slowly.

"I understand." I stuttered on a small sob.

It took some time before I calmed down and when I did I felt my anger begin to build into fury. Asgore. The king who had wanted me as a royal artist had destroyed my family out of greed and power. The king who my village respected and suspected nothing bad towards him.

Fallacy seemed to sense my anger and only shook his head, "Wait before you do anything rash. I'm going to inform my counsel and have them over immediately as well as Jasper. With this type of situation their has to be an immediate discussion."

Fallacy's serious tone broke slightly. I could hear little affection that he'd tried to mask but somehow failed. I let out a sigh and nodded, "What would happen if the counsel found me with you?" I questioned.

"We'll deal with that when we have to." Fallacy's hand reached down and took mine,"How about we play a game?"

"A game?" I said confused.

He dropped my hand with a slanted smile, "Hide and seek."

When I gazed up at Fallacy I saw his eye color break to red. My hand raised and my fingers skimmed his cheek lightly, "Your eyes changed color."

Fallacy froze for a few quick seconds, "I'm hungry. And soon I won't be able to control myself. I need you to hurry and hide but if I find you.." he licked his lips in temptation.

I felt myself take a few steps back before I broke into a run down the long hall. For some reason this felt just like the woods.

The woods...

An idea suddenly rushed to my head as I changed direction. I Bursted through the main doors of the castle. The doors were heavy but they opened just enough for me to slide through and escape into the dark forest. Tree's scattered my path in every direction. Surely he couldn't find myself in this tree infested place.

I spotted a fallen large oak but beneath it had a hole just big enough I could possibly fit. I fell onto my right leg as I slid on the dirt and underneath the tree. I curled up so I didn't take up much room and could be hidden deeper in the hole.

Just when I decided I was fine I heard crunches of the dead leaves. My breath got caught in my throat. Slowly, the footsteps got closer and closer. But....something was different. It was four very close steps. Then another set of four steps. And another. Many of them all around me.

I could feel panic racing through my blood and my heart beat pick up into a frantic pace. A paw stepped in front of the opening of the hole along with a low growl.

My hands went over my mouth in attempt to silence my breathing. If it came to it and I was exposed I'd fight since I already knew flight was out of the question....but what about slyness?

A plan set in. I picked up a rock and carefully crawled near the entrance of the hole on my arms. I raised the rock and threw it past the paw and heard it hit the tree. I could see the paw slightly move towards the tree and sure enough started to move away from the hole.

I took this chance and slowly crawled from the hole and stood. I got ready to run but then a snout touched my back causing me to freeze. I saw dogs emerge from behind tree's...no...not dogs....

Wolves.

More panic set in. I didn't dare move one bit. At this moment I wish I never went in the woods alone. Fallacy warned me about there being other creatures.

I took a deep breath and did my best to calm myself down.

"What are you doing in these woods alone you rat?" A voice sneered.

I turned around to be met with two glowing red eyes. I took a step back to notice he was taller than me and had a shinning gold tooth that was sharp. Actually, all his teeth seemed to be sharp.

For some unknown reason I snapped back, "Why do you want to know?"

He let out a laugh, "Because you crossed onto my territory and so it's my business to know before I let these guys eat you alive." He used his hand to gesture towards the wolves.

His territory?

"And," he added, "why were you on the blood suckers land?"

He must mean Vampires.

"I'm only visiting them before going back home to my village. And I got bored and decided to take a walk out into the woods." I lied.

He snorted before turning away, "You should know these woods have many things that would eat up a helpless rat like you."

Hidden confidence suddenly exploded through me as I poked him in the back, "Now you listen here you mutt! I am not a rat! If you want to call me something then use my name, Encre!" I crossed my arms out in front of me.

He laughed again. I took a few more steps back but one of the wolves stopped me as the guy slowly began to stalk towards me in long, predatory strides, "Do you really think raising your voice to me is smart?"

I stayed calm, "Maybe you shouldn't be so rude."

"Rude?" He smiled wickedly, "You should be happy you aren't dead yet."

"I'd say the same thing to you."
