Normani's POV
I have to admit that Khalid has finally gotten his head outta his ass and he is taking up the responsibility of taking care of his son. My date with Rashad didn't go exactly as plan. He turned out to be a dick, what he couldn't he understand by the fact that I do not kiss on the first date. I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic but it's whatever. I'll just allow destiny to take it's course. I walked into the living room and I saw Khalid and Josh lying on their bellies watching an episode of Alvin and the chipmunks the cartoon, that was an adorable sight to see. I stood there for a bit admiring them both until Khalid brought me out of my trance.
" Hey I got you something from IHop didn't wanna disturb you on a saturday. It's in the oven" He said flashing his adorable smile, that smile would be the death of me. The fuck I cannot believe I just said that out loud
" What's going on in that head of yours you seem to be in deep thought?"
" Nothing I'm just a bit overwhelmed" I lied, lately I have been getting these weird dreams about Khalid
" I think I know what may be the solution, let's go to the movies, black panther is on. We can get a sitter to watch Josh"
" I don't know I have some work to get done" I lied again I wanted to avoid any awkward moments between us
" Come on it's the weekend and don't you think you work a lil bit too hard sometimes?"
" I'm the CEO, that post comes with a lot of responsibility" I say playing with the fabric of my robe.
" One weekend out won't work beside take this a treat on me extending Josh' s and I's gratitude for everything you have done"
I battled with my consciousness then I eventually give, it's a movie after all, just a movie.
" Okay"
" Yay"
He was smiling from ear to ear
" I'll see if I can get Dinah to watch Josh"
