Consuming Past

There was a girl with a light

Happiness

Hopefulness

There was a darkness with human life

Hurtfulness

Evilness

There in the life of the light was a storm

There the darkness consumed the light

There after the light couldn’t speak for herself

In two months her light was gone

Consumed by what the evil darkness done

Sometime had past and gone

And once more things went wrong

Having not much needed help

She stayed and hid herself from others

Always asking, “ why , why I?”

One day she spoke after being silent for so long

She finally felt like her and herself,

We're getting along

Like a soldier standing for battle ,

She stood and won her war

Now she smiles for the darkness is gone

Memories still concur from her brain ,

But she smiles with knowing…

That she won her war
