Readers POV
My parents had left the house as they were going to a house viewing. We were planning on moving. Nowehere far, just down the street a bit to a bigger house. Mainly because my mother is pregnant. She had been keeping it a secret though I could read the signs like a book. It was clear she was carrying a baby. Why she doesn't want me to know yet, I don't know. So I decided to keep my knowledge a secret and will have to act super surprised the day she does tell me.
While they were gone, I decided to invite Susie round. Of course I phoned my parents to ask them first.
We sat on the sofa watching a film when all of a sudden, the movie was interrupted by a news show.
"Breaking news. A teenage girl by the name of Yuki Sun has been found murdered inside her own home. Her parents supposedly returned from work and found her dead on her bedroom floor. The murder weapon has not yet been identified or found and there are not witnesses of yet. The parents have been called into custody for questioning-"
"God that's awful.."
Susie talks over the news women as she presents the murder. I didn't reply, just nodded in agreement. I wanted to listen, the name sounded familiar but I couldn't think where.
"The images shown may be disturbing to some viewers-"
I couldn't help but gasp and cover my mouth in absolute shock. That poor girl. Her body was completely mutilated. Both of her arms and legs were broken and bent is cringe worthy positions. Positions not even imaginable. Her body was covered in blood with deep slice wounds from her feet all the way to her head. Part of her skull was missing and her brain looked seriously damaged. Bruises covered her body and even one of her eyes were missing, leaving just an empty socket.  But the worst part was, her bottom jaw had been completely ripped off. All you saw was her dangling tongue and top row of teeth. Her lower jaw was on the floor next to her shoulder. It made me gag to look at her. Blood was splattered on the walls and on her bed, desk, everything. Her body was lying in a pool, a pool of her own blood.
Just as Susie was about to change the channel, something clicked.
"Wait! I... oh my gosh.."
"What? What's wrong? I don't want to look at this no more.."
"Susie I.. I know her.. Well, kinda... she was a waitress at the café down the road. She waited on me at a table not long ago! Just the other day!"
Susie studied her face and instantly realisation plastered across her as she too recognised her.
Without taking a second glance, we switched off the tv completely.
"Can you even begin to imagine... I mean.. she was our age... these, these killers... they're heartless. They'll kill anyone no matter the age... think about it... that could have been one of us."
Susie sighs as a tear falls down her cheek. I wipe it away with my finger and hug her tightly.
"Let's not think about things like that. Let's just be thankful we are alive..."

BEN Drowned POV
Toby and I returned to the mansion with proud grins on our faces as we were greeted by Sadie and Sally.
"Nice work you two. It's on the news already."
Sadie chuckled as she points to the Tv. Toby walks with her to the TV set but Sally runs to me, wrapping her arms around my waist as that's the highest she could reach.
"Ben! Did you get her good!?"
I couldn't help but laugh, patting the browned hair girl on the head softly.
"Yep. We sure did!"
Sally grins widely as she hugs me even tighter. I remove her arms and crouch down to her level, pushing a finger over my mouth and forcing at a shushing sound before whispering.
"Hey, I brought a gift back for you. I saw you playing with Jacks kidneys, so here."
I say quietly as I hold out a clear grip seal bag, inside was the eyeball from the girl Toby and I had just murdered. Sally's face lit up like a light. Smiling even bigger if that were possible. She squeals and hugs around my neck.
"Thank you Benny!!"
She cries before running away to her bedroom with her teddy and eyeball bag in each hand.
