Chapter 41

"What.. did you just, say?"
I couldn't help but freeze. Did I hear him right? No.. I was sure he had said something else, but if that were true, why did I hear that. I thought maybe I had just heard what I wanted to hear and not what I actually should have heard. To be honest, I don't even know why I opened the door. The things he said just reminded me of my mother during my childhood when she said my sadness hurt her deeply. Ben said exactly the same thing.
He takes a deep breath in, stepping forward and placing his hands on my shoulders, not roughly or harshly. But a gentle comfort.
"I love you [Name]. I've felt something for a while now and I think I've finally realised what that feeling is. It's my love for you,"
I wasn't going crazy, what I heard was real. He admitted his feelings.. he, admitted.. his feelings..he admitted his feelings! His true feelings! HE ADMITTED HIS FEELINGS!
My body became incredibly hot, hotter and hotter, my heart beat was racing and all I could feel was pressure in my skull and blood flow shot right to my brain. I felt so shocked, happy and excited I started feeling dizzy, I was internally screaming.

BEN Drowned POV
"[Name], say something..! [Name]?... [Name]!"
As I spoke, her eyes practically rolled into the back of her head, her entire body flopping backwards as she smacks to the floor. Did she really just faint?
Rushing down to her side, vigorously shaking her body, calling out to her. She wasn't out for very long. Her tired eyes slowly peeled open as her gaze locks with mine.
"Welcome back."
I couldn't help but chuckle, though she doesn't respond, she just lunges her torso forwards and wraps her arms tightly around my neck. I was a bit stunned at first but soon returned her embrace, softly stroking down her back.
"I -"
"[Name]! There's someone here to see you!"
She was just about to respond but was interrupted by her mother calling to her. But all I wanted to know was, what was she going to say? Was she going to admit her feelings? Tell me she didn't feel the same? Or did feel the same? Stupid mother...

Readers POV
Just as I was about to admit to Ben that I loved him too, my mother calls up to me, cutting me off. Sighing deeply, I reluctantly pull away from the embrace and stand to my feet to make my way downstairs, Ben follows closely behind.

As I get downstairs, I couldn't help but gasp, there stood my best friend, out of hospital, looking bright and healthy, standing with two crutches. Rushing over to her, I swing my arms around her, nearly pushing her over.
"Susie! You're finally out of hospital!"
I squeal as I step back to take a better look at her. She was looking so good, it made me happy to see her looking better and well.
"Yep! Got released early! How awesome is that!"
"Really awesome! I missed you a lot.."
"I missed you too.."
She frowns but soon giggles, shuffling over to hug me tight, holding onto me to balance herself a little.
"See [Name]. You're not getting rid of me that easily."

"Hey! Why are you sat alone?"
As sweet looking girl around my age trots up to me and placers herself down on the bench opposite as I sat at the lunch table.
"Do you usually sit alone??"
Not sure how to respond, I slowly nod my head.
"Hmm.. that's no good! Hey you gonna eat that!?"
She smiles widely, suddenly grabbing my toffee pudding out of my lunchbox, following by taking the spoon.
"Hey!!"
"Don't worry! We friends now! This toffee pudding is to show of our friendship."
I couldn't help but laugh. Yeah this girl just stole the only thing in my lunchbox that I actually enjoyed. But she seemed fun.
"I'm Susie by the way!"
"-[Name]."
"I like that name! Hey what happened to your camera?"
Susie asks, pointing to the pile of parts that sat on the table beside me,
"Some kids broke it.."
"What! What meanies! Don't worry! I won't break anything that belongs to you!"
"You won't break it, just steal it right?"
"I DIDNT STEAL! We are sharing but I'm still gonna eat it all."
I couldn't help but laugh. Where has this girl been my entire time of being in this school. Why haven't we met before. Will we be friends for long?
"So.. why did you come over here? When will you go  back to your friends?"
"Wha? I'm not! Who needs them when I have an awesome friend like you! Sorry [Name] but you're not getting rid of me that easily!"
