Back at school
"So what did y'all do?" Amani asked eyeing me as we walked down the hall.
"Nothing Mani." I laughed, shaking my head.
"So you and my brother stayed in a hotel together for 3 days and nothing happened?" She looked at me unconvinced.
"Yes." I told her truthfully.
"Not even a kiss?" She asked and I shook my head no.
"So y'all still aren't together?" She pouted.
"Mani..." I laughed, trailing off.
"We're working on it, let's not force it." I told her.
"That's understood. I just don't want any of these other girls snatching him up. You're the only girl I'm accepting as my sister in law." She admitted, shrugging her shoulders.
"You're crazy." I giggled as we made it to our class.
"Seriously." She went on.
We walked into the class room and the teacher was no where to be found but all the other students were there.
"Where's Mr. Clark?" Mani asked to nobody in particular.
"He's not here." A boy answered.
"Thank you based god." She said over exaggerating.
"So dramatic." I shook my head, sitting in my seat as she sat next to me.
I then pulled out my phone and texted Amaru to tell him to come to our class since our teacher wasn't going to be in today.
"I just texted Amaru and told him to come to our class." I said to Amani and she nodded, scrolling on her phone.
"Hey girl." A girl spoke loudly walking into our class as I looked up.
"Hey Jay." The other girl spoke back.
It was Jayla, this wasn't her class but when the teacher wasn't in, people did whatever they wanted to do, like invite their friends. The subs never knew who was who anyway.
"Bitch." Amani said rolling her eyes and I just laughed.
A few minutes later, Amaru walked into the class with a black puffer coat on and a black hoodie on his head. He looked around the class before taking a seat next to Mani and I.
"What's up sis, hey Ri." He said.
"Hey." We spoke in unison.
We hadn't seen Amaru this morning because he didn't wake up on time, so Mani and I ended up walking to school together instead of waiting on him for a ride.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" He asked Mani.
"Your door was locked, I was banging on it for like 5 minutes." She said.
