1 month later...

Valentine's Day

Riley

"I'm so mad Valentine's Day has to be on a Friday, I did not feel like coming to school today." Mani whined as we walked down our school's hallway.

"I know right but at least I get to show off my gift." I smiled, holding the bear Amaru got me.

"Jay didn't get you anything?" I asked referring to the guy from the party a while ago that she's been talking to him for about a month now.

"Nope." She shook her head.

"Well, it's still early." I shrugged.

"And?" She said looking at me, making me laugh.

"Amaru made sure to come to your house this morning and bring you a gift, some breakfast and gave you a ride to school." She went on.

"Well, it's easier for him. We all go to the same school." I said in a duh tone.

"Jay doesn't go here Mani." I added.

"You're right." She nodded.

"But he better have something before we leave for this trip, I know that." She sassed, pulling out her phone.

Amaru, Jay, Amani and I were all going to Atlantic City for Valentine's Day weekend. I'm sure she wouldn't leave empty handed.

"He will." I assured her.

"Then he has the nerve to text me a long Valentine's Day paragraph..." She trailed off.

"I'm going to read it though." She said as I shook my head.

"Alright, I'll see you later." I said to her as I reached my second period class.

"Alright." She waved as she walked down the hall, paying attention to her phone.

I walked into my class, it had already started and Amaru was already in the seat next to mine. The teacher eyed me as I walked in and I made my way to the back of the class, quickly taking my seat.

"Why you late?" He asked writing something down on his paper.

"I was talking to Mani in the hallway." I told him, taking my bag off.

"I missed you." He poked his bottom lip out as I smacked my lips.

"I did." He went on, smirking.

"Shut up, I just saw you." I laughed, pulling my book out.

A couple seconds later, someone was knocking on our classroom's door. Our teacher nodded at the door, allowing whoever it was to come in.

"Hello, I have a couple of Valentine's Day candy grams and chocolate roses for some of your students." The girl said and our teacher insisted that she pass them out.

"So, I have one for Erica Polanski." The girl said giving out the gram.

"I have one for Jacob Myers." She gave him, his.
