My Bestfriends Brother ~ Luke Hemmings Fanfic

Chapter 1

"Everyone, may I please have your attention?" my teacher spoke. Suddenly everyone, including myself, were looking at a boy my own age, standing beside her desk. He had messy light brown hair, blue eyes and was quite tall compared to everyone in my class. I guess he was one of the "two new guys" everyone was talking about.

"This is Ryan Hemmings, he moved here from Australia. I'd like you all to be nice and give him a warm welcome." my teacher broke the whispering. Why was everyone whispering, you may ask? Well, "St Bridgets High" contained mostly of people who "new everything". By that I mean that everyone was updated with the new things happening around, the gossip and who's hooking up with who. I wasn't the person who knew everything but I tried to stay up to date with as much as I could.

I guess Ryan tried to ignore the whispering as he left Mrs McKenzies desk and walked around the classroom looking for a seat. It happened to be that there was one seat either beside me or beside Monica, my, I guess elementary ex bestfriend. We don't talk anymore because guess what, people change. We all have changed since that age.

I was surprised he sat beside me, only probably because Monica was still whispering with her group of friends. I wasn't shocked, that's who she was now and I'm pretty used to that by now.

To be polite I introduced myself.

"Hi, I'm Gabriella, but you can call me Gabi" I gave him a small smile. I mean, why not be nice to the new kid?

"I'm Ryan, and you can call me Ryan." he laughed a little. This left me smiling because I knew that he was gonna be a change to my undramatic and boring life.
