"Buttercup." Ruby called out in her usual soft voice, that silently seeked permission to continue. "What's up, cubes?" I replied shutting my books and turned around waiting for her to speak. "Well you know, I was on tinder last night and found a date for...." she stopped immediately clearing her throat when Jane entered. "Hey girls what's happening!?" Jane asked casually, jumping on my bed and hugging my emoji cushion.
"We were just..." Ruby started, not wanting to be honest but I interrupted her "We were talking about how Ruby found herself a date and wants you to tag along with her." I completed and smirked at Ruby, receiving a glare from her.
"Reaaallly? When? At what time? Where do we meet them? What should I wear? I recently bought my new makeup palette. Ah, can't wait to use them on my face. It's been so long since I've done a proper makeover. Can you guys answer me?" Jane jabbered, jumping on my bed, leaving me and Ruby unsurprised with her very normal reaction to silly things.
Well, Yes!
Jane is one of those girls who loves dressing up and has a taste for make up, she calls herself a makeup guru and that's the only reason why she's ready to go. She is my first and favorite cousin, my dads brothers daughter. She has blonde hair, that perfect figure and dark turquoise eyes, unlike mine, I have lighter turquoise but people think our eyes are similar anyways.
So, I ain't gonna go with cubes because, I have college with extra class tomorrow plus my mom warned me about doing the laundry as well. "It's tomorrow evening 8:00 pm at Le Bernardin. I'm gonna wear my skinny jeans and some fancy top and obviously we know who is the makeup artist here." Ruby answered her questions and winked at Jane. After the mini celebration, Jane walked down to eat something. They are already excited about tomorrow.
"Buttercup? Why don't you come with me? You okay?" Ruby asked with concern laced in her sweet voice. She always took care of me. I rarely say 'no' to her, and if I do, it's only when I'm mad or when I'm caught up with some work, but she always assumes it as to be because I'm hurt or something.
This precious piece of cake.
"It's nothing cubes. I've got extra classes. I'll be late and tired, also mom told me to get rid of the pile of clothes downstairs and it's going to be the first day of you-know-what. That's it. Nothing to worry about" I hugged her and pulled away. Her beautiful green eyes were now at ease. It's always great to have a best friend like her. She is gorgeous, loyal, understanding and very picky when it comes to boys. She have been looking for guys to date but no one ever gets her heart I hope this time the guy grabs it.
Like why can't guys treat her and make her feel special. I wish tomorrow is a great day.
For her atleast.
