It felt as though everything around me was in slow-mo and a blur. All I could see was the person who was seated right in front of my eyes.
My heart was throbbing so fast and hard I thought I'd have an attack. The sound of the books and papers being placed back on the table brought me back to reality. "I'm sorry about that." I heard Dean apologize, my eyes snapped at him and he gave me a worried look. I assured him with a tight smile and fixed my unsullied blazer. My eyes went back to the main cause of this major trigger.
"Dean Franklin..." I heard his deep and alluring voice that spread goosebumps all over my body. His voice is deeper and more mature than it was. The weird thing is he hasn't spared one glance towards me. NOT AT ALL. for which I was thankful but at the same time frustrated.
"And you are...?" He looked back at his laptop clearly referring to me. WHY ISN'T he looking at me?
"Erm...You can c-call me Stella, sir" I mustered up every ounce of my british accent and courage, of course to talk to him. The moment he heard me speak, his eyes met mine. GODDAMN TORNADO OF LONG LOST FEELINGS erupted in my body and soul.
He looked at me surprised temporarily before his inscrutable expression took over.
"Great. So, you all know me already but let me introduce myself again. I'm Justin Staniel Philips, the owner of Emuslips Motors, one of the worlds most known Conglomerate Company" He stated proudly and his eyes had this glint while he spoke.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Philips" Dean stuck his hand out "Pleasure to have the best Consultant of all times here with us" He replied professionally and shook hands with him.
"Would you two like to have something?"
"Water please" Dean replied and looked over to me questioningly. I shook my head a tight smile not knowing how words and sentences work.
"You heard them Ms. Noah" He instructed the sweet girl from earlier.
"So, tell me why shall I choose your company to be our Consultant?"

One hour. One WHOLE fricking Hour. This man who is sitting right across me hasn't spared ONE glance towards me.
Has he seriously not recognized me?
Or is he repudiating?
Or am I that hard to remember?
My brain is such a question bank. I did not yet overcome the whole Jane's bothersome state, and as if on cue, this guy decides to break the prolonged game of hide and seek.
The sudden urge to pee had me place my wallet on the table and excuse myself walking out. As I did, I encountered the sweet girl, supposedly Ms. Noah.
"Hey, would you help me find the restroom please?" I intertwined my hands pleading her. She giggled and hurriedly guided me right there.
Finishing my business, I walked out and watched her as she stood leaning over the wall, waiting for me. When she finally noticed me she gave a cheeky smile. I asked what her name was and she replied saying it's Zeri.
"You're meeting Mr. Justin for the first time?" She spun her head to my side as we walked down the hallway that lead us back to the room.
My throat went physically dry. I gulped audibly and nodded my head at her. "Yes. First t-time" I smiled forcefully, gaining a skeptical look from her in return.
