Here is the summary of "We Are Free" I'm awear that the story is slow to start out so I figured I would catch you up on the first story.

Lainey was raised up in a bunker. The bunker was originally built for a nuclear war, but the plague came first. In the year 2017, a horrible plague spread across the globe, killing millions. The lucky ones got safe passage into the bunkers. The bunkers were built for one thousand people, with potential for survival. After spending her whole life in the bunker, Lainey found out that it has been safe outside the walls for years. She thought that everyone inside should know and be outside living.
When Lainey gets caught trying to find a way out of the bunker, she over heard a plan made by the bunkers leader Dian. She plans on creating a second plague to release outside. She wanted to stay in charge of everyone, and if they found out it was safe outside, she would no longer be in charge.
Lainey gets caught, and ends up getting the death penalty. In all the madness, she managed to get her old friend Amera killed. and Aaden, the man she loved, beaten half to death. Instead of being killed, the guard who was ordered to kill her, took her outside and let her go.
After finding a town not far from the bunker, Lainey makes plans with the leaders to attack the bunker, after she got back inside and saved Aaden.
When the town attacked the bunker, it was too late. Dian's scientists had accidentally made a new plague or virus. With no cure, the new plague began to spread. The sick people, called Rotters, all escaped out of a van sized hole that had been blown out of the bunker wall.
Lainey learned first hand what happens when you get bitten from an infected person. She watched Aaden die and turn before her eyes, after he had been bitten inside the bunker. You get sick, you turn, then you want to feed.
