Allie's POV

"Here are your Minnesota Golden Gophers" the announcer says making the crowd erupt in cheers as the players skate onto the ice. I watch Nate skating around and clap with a smile on my face. "Hey Becca?" I ask her, "what's up girl?" she replies "is Dylan getting scouted this season?" I say, "he's actually already drafted, he's going to be in the St. Louis system next season" she replies proudly, "that's awesome, do you think Nate has a chance?" I say while biting my lip nervously, "yeah I think he has a really great chance at getting chosen this year" she exclaims, "is it hard going through it all?" I ask, "i'm not going to lie it's hard, but you just have to be by his side the whole time, he'll need your support" she explains with a smile, "okay, i'll do that, thanks for the advice" I say before turning back to the ice to watch the game.

After the game the two of us wait by the locker rooms for our significant others, "I hope they aren't too angry" I say knowing that a 2-1 loss is the worst, "I don't know girl, it might be pretty bad since a lot of the guys had scouts watching" Becca replies, "I don't mind that much because I get to take care of my man for once" I say with a laugh, "that is too true girl" she exclaims with a smile. Dylan comes out a few minutes later and Becca leaves with him telling me she'll talk to me later. Nate finally comes out his head hung low, my heart hurts because of his sadness, he smiles slightly when he sees me, "hey" he says, "hey Nate" I respond and immediately wrap my arms around him in a hug, his arms come around me and he kisses my head gently. After a few seconds of standing there in a hug I pull away, "you did great out there" I tell him trying to lift the mood, "yeah, but I wish we got the win" he explains while slinging an arm across my shoulders, "there's still a few more games left for that" I say with a smile as I look over at him, "you're the best" he replies, "I know" I say while flipping my hair over my shoulder, Nate laughs, "you're such a goofball Allie" he says, "yep I sure am" I exclaim, "I wouldn't want you any other way" he tells me with a kiss on the forehead.

We end up at Nate's place and I slide my shoes off before joining my boyfriend in his room, when I get to the room he's lying facedown on his bed. I laugh at the sight before walking over and straddling his waist, I place my hands on his back and start massaging his tense muscles, he groans and I feel him relax under my touch. Nate moves his arms placing his chin on them as I continue moving my hands across his back, "you're the best Allie" he says, "i'm just taking care of you Nate" I reply with a smile, "what did I do to deserve you" he exclaims, "you showed me that being away from home can be a great thing after all" I reply my smile widening. He turns slightly making me stop the massage, I then get off of him, he moves onto his back leaning back on his elbows, "I don't think you needed me to show you that" he tells me, "mmmm I think I did need you, I just didn't know it" I say while sitting at the end of his bed, "c'mere" he replies, I do as he asks scooting over to him, when I get close enough he wraps an arm around my waist holding me close, "I never thought I needed anything other than hockey until I met you" he explains while looking down at me, my heart warms at his statement. I stretch my neck upwards and plant a gentle kiss on his jaw, "I love you" I say affectionately, "I love you too" he replies while bringing me on top of him in one swift movement, my hands rest on his chest and he brings a hand up to move a stray piece of my hair behind my ear. "I should go, it's late" I say as I look at the clock on his desk, which reads 12:05am, Nate tightens his grip on me, "no, stayyyy" he whines with a pout, "ugh I can never say no to you Nate" I exclaim caving and relaxing back into his arms, he kisses my head gently and places his chin on my head as he hugs me closely. We end up falling asleep in each others arms, which has become a normal occurrence the past few months.

The next morning I wake up and notice that i'm still in Nate's arms, I smile as I watch him, I bring a hand up and move some of his hair that fell over his eyes. His grip tightens around my waist, he groans and opens his eyes slowly, "morning handsome" I say, "morning princess" he replies as he kisses my forehead, "when do you start baseball season?" I ask as I run my fingers across his chest, "we start training next week but the first game isn't until February" he replies while running his fingers through my hair, "ah okay, I can't wait to watch you play" I exclaim with a smile, "I can't wait to see you in the crowd" Nate tells me before burying his head into my neck, I giggle at his gesture. "We should get up" I say a few minutes later, Nate groans but loosens his grip on me, "c'mon handsome, you have practice in an hour" I tell him, "I know" he says before sitting up, "plus you should take a shower, you stink" I add, "only if you join me" he exclaims while wiggling his eyebrows at me, I blush at his request while looking away, "I'm just kidding Allie" he adds as he comes over kissing my lips gently before walking into his bathroom.
