The next morning Pepper woke them up at around 3:30.

"Good morning, we're leaving in fifteen minutes." Tony let out a deep sight before saying: "it's not morning yet." He started to dose off again when Nova shifted against him. "What's happening?" She asked confused. His eyes flew open and he was awake. "What's happening, my little friend, is that we are taking you home!" Tony said excited. Her face tilted slightly and she looked from Pepper to Tony confused.

"Home?" 

Tony started to talk happily again.

"Yup. You'll love it there. We're taking you to the tower and then"

"Tony" Pepper interrupted. "I don't think she knows what home means. Do you?" She asked sweetly. Nova shook her head and rubbed her eyes tiredly. Not really caring what happened, as long as she could stay with Tony, she decided to lean back into him.

"That's where you're going to live. You'll have your own room and toys and it'll be fun!" Pepper explained while Tony looked down at his feet, his happy mood from just second ago having gone away quickly. Nova just nodded indifferently.

Tony carefully picked her up. She settled in his arms and rested her chin on his shoulder. After grabbing some things they left the room and walked through the hospital. The little sweater covered girl fell asleep again pretty quickly.

They walked towards the exit, where a few people where waiting for them, but not nearly as many as the day before. Pepper made sure to walk close to her so they couldn't take a picture of her face. When they got outside people started firing questions at them. "Mister Stark?" "Tony!" "Is everyone's alright?" "Who's the little girl?" "Is she your daughter?" Nova started to shift a little while Happy led them through the crowd off people. She looked up and was blinded by bright flashes of light. She closed her eyes, quickly buried her face in Tony's sweater and dug her head in his shoulder. Happy got them in the car and Tony led out a sigh when he sat down, carefully placing her in his lap. She looked at him with big scared eyes.

"Are you alright?" He asked, not really knowing what to do. She carefully nodded her head and placed it on his chest. Pepper smiled at the sight while Tony gave her an 'I don't know what to do' look. She just shook her head with a grin and asked for Happy to drive.

Nova had fallen back asleep while they were driving, so Tony woke her up again when they got to the tower. They got out, surprised that there weren't any reporters or paparazzi's waiting for them there. She wasn't aloud to walk yet. So Tony carried her out and placed her on his hip. She looked up at the building full of admiration.

"Kind of cool don't you think, Nova?" Pepper asked her, standing next to them. She nodded with a big smile on her face. "Let's get you inside then. See if we have a room for you." Nova's eyes widened even more when she heard that. Tony carried her inside and they got in the elevator. They got out at one of the higher levels.

"This will be your room Nova. Ours is just down that hall. First door on the right."

She got inside the room and looked around her. She never had a room. Just the cold concrete floor in her cell. But this room was huge. She looked around it with wide eyes. It had a queen size bed with fluffy covers and a desk and even a walk in closet. She looked around with wide eyes.

"Do you like it?" Tony asked "We'll get the walls colored if you'd like that. And you'll need some clothes, even though that sweater looks awesome on you."

Nova gave him a big smile and he couldn't help but smile back at her. "Thank you Mister Tony." He let out a little chuckle. "Just Tony is fine Nova." She nodded quickly.

"Alright, I'll make some breakfast and you can show her to the living room." Pepper told Tony. And so they were on their way again. They got out of the elevator and into the huge lounge area. There were a few big couches and chairs with a coffee table in the middle. There was a big tv up on the wall and big windows that looked out over New York. Tony helped her on one of the couches and pepper got them their breakfast a little later. Tony and pepper worked from there all day while Nova mostly slept or watched tv.

Tony had given her the remote and told her to put on whatever she wanted. She had looked at him confused and Tony realized she never used a tv before. So he explained her how it worked and she found it fascinating. She had been switching trough channels for almost an hour when she got to a news report about Tony. She looked at him, confused. Why would he be on tv. She listened to what the people were saying. The woman was asking questions to nobody and said something about rumors about a daughter. She didn't really understand what was going on until Tony saw her looking very confused. He looked from her to the tv and back before explaining that the news is not very often true. So she went back to cartoons.

They had lunch and after that Nova felt herself get tired. She tried to stay awake while watching tv, but failed and ended up falling asleep on the couch again.

The rest of the day she just sat around. Nova woke up after and hour or so and looked around at what was happening. Pepper was sitting in a chair, typing on her laptop while Tony was messing with some hologram thingy. Being more interested in the latter, she crawled to the other side of the couch to be closer to him.

He was working on something using the holograms. After Nova looked at it for a few seconds she realized it was the tower they were in. She just watched Tony work curiously until he noticed she was actually looking at what he did. He picked her up and put her on his lap. He worked on it for a little longer while Nova watched along, until she finally fell back asleep in his lap.

I'm so sorry about my messed up updating schedule but I was on vacation and there was no WiFi at all. But I'm back now so I'll try to get it a little regular again. I did have a lot of time there to write ahead so I think I'll update again tomorrow because of the long wait for this one. Thanks for reading!!!<3
