Shane's P.O.V
All are waiting for him to arrive. I understand that he is really from an elite family, but for me the whole event is so exaggerated. From the interiors and even the people.
"Talaga bang welcome party lang ang meron ngayon Zeo?" Tanong ni Ex.
"Yan ang alam ko." He just answered in a cool way and not minding the people around.
"Zeo, Iho."
"Mom." Zeo is a respectful man, he kissed her mom on the cheeks and smiled.
"Can I borrow you for awhile?"
"Yes Mom, Ahm, excuse me girls." Paalam ni Zeo, ngumiti naman ang mommy niya sa amin.
"I think there is more important thing will happen except for welcoming Prof. Zion." Gab.
I'm not even interested.
"Shane uh."
"Eh?" Nasabi ko na lang ng abutan ako ni Yana ng wine.
"Kailangan mo yan." She said and change her eye direction to the entrance.
"Sila ba? Kailan pa?" Gab.
"Matagal na siguro, College a lang tayo grabeh ba makabakod si Miss kay Prof ." Ex.
"Hanggang ngayon,kung makalingkis wagas." Gab.
"But she looks older than before." Ex
"And Prof. Zion is still hot as before." Gab.
"In short, di sila bagay." Ex.
Nagtawanan pa ang dalawa, Si Yana naman tahimik lang at nagmamasid sa paligid? Me? I'm staring Zion and Miss Patrice. Why? I don't know.
The MC introduces and welcome Zion and invited him to the stage.
"Mr. Monteverde, Welcome back." MC.
"Thank you." He said and smiled to everyone. "It's been a long time since I attented a party like this, I was so busy in the past and even now and I'm also expecting that it will be more busier in the future." The whole crowd laugh at his joke slash realtalk." In the past 10 years, I've learned a lot, I thought being a professor was my destiny, but look at me now, I'm here in front of you as the Chairman and C.E.O of Monteverde Shipping Line.Panama is really a challenge for me, it molds me for what I become right now. And what Panama done to me, will be done in our Main Office starting tomorrow, I'll share to everyone so that they will suffer too.Kiddin'aside." The crowd laugh again." The whole speech goes smoothly i think. I did not managed to listen well since nawala na ako sa focus.
"Shane, Si Zeo." Ex
"Uh bakit?"
"Nasa stage." Ex.
"Malamang." Sagot ko. Baliw to si Ex whole family nasa stage malamang sa kanila ang party na to.
"Together with Miss Patrice's Family." Napatutok ako sa stage.
Zion's father tool the microphone and started to talk.
"Good evening everyone, We also want to officially announce the merging of Da Silva and Monteverde. And to tie this up, today is the engagement party of Zion Monteverde my son. And my future daughter in law Patrice Da Silva."
All people inside the party area gave them a round of applause and cheers.
I took a deep breath and smiled bitterly.
So this is the real reason why he did not give a damn time to visit me even once and explained everything?
Why he gave me hope before he left? If that hope will be just hope forever?

"Shane." A familiar voice called my name and made me back to reality.
"Spade."I response with his name.
"I'm not surprise that you're here. Since the youngest Monteverde is your close friend."
"Yeah, and you, why are you here?"
"As a respresentative of my family?" He laughed and later gave me a serious look. "Are you okay?"
"Of course. " I answered."Anyways this are my friends, Ex, Yana and Gab, they are also doctors in the same hospital but.. Different department."
"Hi." Ex.
"I know him." Yana
"The famous handsome doctor." Gab.
"Stop it girls, its fluttering me." Since I knew Spade, nagiging natural na para sa akin ang pagkamahangin niya.
"Excuse me,may I interrupt you guys?"
"Zeo, waaahh Prof. Zion!" Ex giggled and look so happy ng nasa harapan na pala namin sila Zion, Ms. Patrice at Zeo.
"10 years passed pero ang gwapo mo pa din Prof." Gab.
"It's in the genes." Zeo.
"Shut up." Yana.
"So, How are you?" Zion.
"Ayos naman Prof. We all succeeded in the same field." Yana.
"So, you're all doctors?" Zion looked surprised.
"Yes Prof., and how did you know?" Ex looked puzzled and curious.
"We bumped Shane a few days ago and heared someone called her Doctor." Zion.
"It's me, that someone." Spade. Napatawa ako ng kaunti ng marinig ko ang pagkairita ng boses ni Spade.
The atmosphere look so awkward.
"Kuya, Did you know that I've been courting Shane for 6 years now, but her answer is always no everytime I asked her." Zeo.
"Bakit nga ba Shane?" Ms. Patrice.I thought she's just a decoration behind Zion's arm nagsasalita din pala.
"I waited for someone but it's just a mistake to wait for him." I answered.
Nag iba ang expression sa mukha ni Ms. Patrice. Maybe she knew something. And maybe she knew about my past.
"Who?" Ms. Patrice.
"Me."
Everyone was shocked, including me maybe? Where did he get the confidence to say that he's the one I'm pertaining about?
