"Just when I thought I could finally leave this plane behind I get pull back once again. I served my time and placed my hope in others, granted this one is slightly special. Can you hear me Senegas?"

Senegas opened his eyes to a bright room and a small table with a single goblet on it. Sluggish as he was, Senegas stood up and walked towards the table, there was a droning noise in his head that he couldn't get rid of. Hoping for some wine to wash away the white noise, Senegas grabbed the goblet only to find that it was empty.

"Senegas you need to calm your mind otherwise you won't be able to hear me clearly."

Hearing the voice of somebody Senegas spun around in search of where it was coming from, "Who's there?"

"Ah, you can finally hear me more clearly. I never expected it to be this bad."

"Who are you? What do you want with me?" Senegas roared as he felt a current flow through him.

"Take a seat why don't you Senegas; trust me you will need it."

Senegas doubled over in pain, clutching the chair for support. His heart was beating faster and he felt a surge flow through him.

"You have to listen to me if you want to survive. Take a seat and try to calm down, if you get anymore worked up your heart will explode."

"What did you do to me?" Senegas hissed through his teeth as he pulled himself onto the chair.

"What I did happened krosts ago, but the seed is finally awakening now."

"Seed? What seed? What are you talking about?"

"It would help if I first reveal who I am. I apologise for not having a physical form, but an interesting fellow stumbled into my tomb and I used the last of my power to show him the truth at the cost of my physical body. I am Baiphointar Viezil, formerly known as the Ragnarok; but you already knew that didn't you Senegas."

Clutching his chest Senegas looked up, "You have no proof, but this feeling inside of me is telling me that you are not lying. You are the real Viezil. So please, tell me what is happening to me."

"I planted many seeds within the humans that were created, however the seed would not work unless the host was compatible. So while there were once many dragonkin, most of them were closer to humans. That surge of energy you are feeling coursing through your body is the seed awakening."

"So what happens to me when this seed fully awakens?"

"Either your powers will awaken or you will be destroyed; but there is a way to increase your odds of survival. Note that there is a side effect to this."

"Well I have unfinished business in Ejitope so I will take whatever I can to survive."

"You don't even want to know more about the side effect?"

"No, I don't care what happens. As long as I survive long enough to crush him then I don't care."

"That determination might just be enough for you to survive this. Here, use this knife"—a knife appeared on the table next to the goblet as Viezil spoke the words—"Cut your wrist and fill the goblet with your blood then drink it. Your blood is my blood after all. I pray for your success, sole survivor of dragonkin."

The voice vanished and the surges increased in pace within Senegas' body. Without hesitation, he slit his wrist and filled the goblet with his blood. Ripping off part of his sleeve he bandaged the cut and drank the blood in the goblet. Senegas could feel the fire in his throat as the blood slid down into his belly. He felt his heart slowed down, until it came to a complete stop; then darkness befell Senegas.
