Stain sat in a tavern drinking ale, he had spent a prytorst searching for the leader of the Iron Dominion, yet nobody could give him the information he needed. Little did Stain know that on that evening in that backwater tavern he would run into an extremely powerful man, a man that could help or destroy him.
Stain walked to the barkeeper and placed ten gold yhtas on the counter, "Have you heard any rumours about a group called the Iron Dominion?"
The barkeeper pocketed the ten gold yhtas and continued wiping the goblets, "There is a man that frequently visits here, I've heard whispers that he is the right hand man of the fearsome Newgate. If you looking to get employment or an audience with Newgate then he is your best bet, out of all the bandits of the Iron Dominion he is the most level headed and will talk before chopping off your head."
"How will I know this man when I see him?"
"He's impossible to miss, always wears a white suit and has the air of a noble about him."
Stain nodded his head and went back to his seat in the back of the tavern, staring at the entrance he waited for the man in the white suit to enter. As the barkeeper had said, a man wearing a white suit waltzed into the tavern, he was greeted by the barkeeper and after an exchange of words he walked straight towards Stain at the back of the tavern. He sat down without a word and motioned for two goblets of ale. The two sat in silence as they waited for the barmaid to bring their ale, it was only once the man in the white suit had taken a sip of his ale that he spoke.
"I hear you are looking for employment in the Iron Dominion. I will tell you now, getting into the Dominion is no easy task, Newgate cares for nothing but strength. Should you not be able to prove your worth you will be crushed by Newgate and placed on the wall. So tell me stranger do you still wish to join the Dominion?"
Stain took three massive gulps, finished his ale and slammed his goblet onto the table, "If strength is all it takes to join then look no further, I have no equal when it comes to strength."
A smile formed on the man in the white suit's face, "You sure are confident, we shall see if you have the strength to back that confidence."
Stain nodded yet neither man broke eye contact. The tension had become extremely intense to the point that the tavern had gone quiet and those that remained in the tavern had their eyes locked on the two men at the back.
The man in the white suit stifled a chuckle and finished his drink, "I have business to attend to, meet me here in two vrots time and I will take you to Newgate. There Newgate will decide what your trial will be. Now if you will excuse me."
Stain watched as the man walked behind the bar and disappeared behind a door, "Two vrots; in two vrots your head will be mine Newgate. I need to end this as soon as possible, I have a bad feeling something terrible has happened."
Two vrots later Stain met with the man in the white suit at the tavern, from there he was led to a hidden alcove that was reasonably close to the road that ran between Blackbarrow and the Capital. The two men descended into the alcove until they reached a wooden door.
"Welcome to Wolfthron Sanctuary, I will take you to Newgate right away." The man in the white suit said to Stain as gave the door three rapid taps.
The door slowly opened revealing a dwarf with a gigantic Warhammer, "Who be knocking on death's door?" the dwarf had begun to say before he noticed the man in the white suit, "Oh it be you Slash. I see you brought company, a new recruit?"
Slash gave the dwarf a warm smile, "That's right, I'm taking him straight to Newgate."
"Well then don't let me stop ya." The dwarf said as he stepped out of Slash and Stain's way, allowing them to enter.
