Ch.1: Derrick

Embry-"Lexi, hurry up! We're gonna be late!" Embry yelled just as i was finishing my last touches of makeup.

Lexi-" Don't get your panties in a twist, I'm right here." I said as i walked down stairs.

Embry-"Just hurry up and get your breakfast. And for the record i don't wear girly panties!"

Lexi-"Yeah, yeah. Whatever floats your boat." I said wile grabbing a piece of toast.

Mom- "Bye kids. See you after school. love you."

Embry+Lexi-"Bye mom! Love you too!" we say running out the door.

All the guys were sitting in the back of Jake's truck waiting for us. Embry hops in the back wile i go sit up front with Jake.

Lexi- "Hey, where's Leah?"

Jacob- "Se got a really bad stomach virus. She' not going to school today."

Lexi- "Great." I say really disappointed, "Now i have to go through my whole History class without Leah to keep Derrick off of me." He really doesn't like her so he stays away from me when she's around.

We pull up into the parking lot, everyone piles out the truck, and I head off to my first class, History. Right as i walk in Derrick realizes that Leah isn't here and makes a b-line towards me.

Derrick-"Lexi, hey! hows it goin?" he said putting his arm around me.

Lexi- "just fine 'till you showed up." I say pushing his arm off me. "What do you want, Derrick?"

Derrick-"you"

Lexi-"too bad, out of stock. Won't get another shipment till never."

Derrick- "Aww, c'mon baby don't be that way."

Lexi- "First of all, don't call me baby. second what way?"

Derrick-"Like you don't want me."

Lexi- "why would i ever want you Derrick?"

Derrick-" because," he said wile posing like superman, "I'm the man"

Lexi-"yeah, okay, whatever." I said as class started.

The rest of the morning went over pretty smoothly. i went to go sit with the rest of the guys at lunch.

Jacob- "so, Lex, how was History with Derrick?" he said trying not to smile.

Lexi- "Well, first of all he was being annoying as usual. then,he's all like 'Lexi don't act like you don't want me' and stuff and I'm like 'Derrick, why would i ever want a loser like you?' after I asked that you know what he said?"

Quil-"What?"

Lexi-"because," i say posing like superman and lowering my voice, "I'm 'The Man' "

We all start busting out laughing.

Lexi-"So, how have your mornings been so far?"

Paul-"well, Mr.Kives gave me detention for shooting spit balls at him."

Embry-"I got an A- on my geometry test!"

Lexi-"Nice Em! Now after all these years you finally have something to put on the fridge." I said while patting his head.

Embry-"yeah,whatever."

Lexi- "Well, I'm gonna go guys. see you later!' i get up to go leave when Derrick comes up and grabs my butt. "What the hell!!!" I him over the head with my tray. He falls to the ground. I start shaking and Jake comes up to me and tells me to calm down. I run to the bathroom crying.

When i finally come out I see Jake standing there. He gives me a hug and walks with me to class.

Once school is over we all pile in to Jake's truck (minus Paul) and head home.

I can' believe the nerve of that guy. What's wrong with him! He obviously knows that she doesn't like him. Can't he get through his thick head that not every girl likes him! but I do give props to Lexi. She's always been independent and great at defending herself. Even though me and the guys are with her most of the time anyway. I admire that.

After Lexi ran into the bathroom i waited outside for her so i could walk with her to class. Right as she saw me she ran up and hugged me. Then we walked to class.
