Ch.19: Halloween

Well today is gonna be a very busy day. Halloween is in three days and we haven't even started planning! See, every year we always have this awesome Halloween party at Sam and Emily's. It's mostly for the pack, but anyone on the reservation can come.We've just been to held up with the whole vampire thing. Sadly the Cullen's aren't invited cuz, well, there not allowed to come on the rez. I was really looking forward to hanging with Emmett and Alice. Even tho Emmett will probably be bugging me about that present. I really don't know what I would get him. I would give him a cake but he doesn't eat cake. Hmm... Oh well. I'll think of something. Anyways, we had to get a lot of stuff like food, decorations, and games for the kids, so Emily and Seth went to get the food, Jared and Embry went to get the games, and me, Jake, Leah, and Paul went to get the decorations...

Me and Jake were picking out streamers when we heard Leah and Paul fighting... again.

Paul- "Spiders!"

Leah- "Ghosts!"

Paul- "Spiders!"

Leah- "Ghosts!"

Lexi- "Guys! What's the matter!"

Leah- "Well this bonehead here thinks we should cover the house in spiders."

Paul- "Well she thinks there should be ghosts everywhere!"

Leah- "Well you guys like the ghosts more right?"

Jacob- "Acctua-"

Leah- "Shut it Black!" she snaps at him.

Lexi- "Guys! Guys, Why don't we just get both......"

Leah- "...Fine." She sighs.

We get all the supplies and load it into Jake's truck. When we pull up to Sam's we see Jared and Embry already setting the games up.

Lexi- "BIG BRUDDER!!!" I yell and jump on Embry's back.

Embry- "Hey Lex." He says while laughing, "What took you guys so long?"

Lexi- "Well, we had a few disagreements." I say jumping off of Embry's back.

Jacob- "I think it was a little more than a few." He says carrying some of the bags inside.

After he says that we hear Paul and Leah fighting over some bags in the truck.

Embry- "Say no more little sister,"He says holding up his hand, "Say no more."

I grab a couple of bags and head inside. It smells great! I look in the kitchen and see Quil as I set the bags down.

Lexi- "Quil, stay away from the food that's for later."

Quil- "For your information, I'm not eating, I'm cooking."

Lexi- "You're cooking?!"

Quil- "Not all of us wolf guys can't cook. Emily taught me a couple months ago."

Lexi- "Well good job Quil. It smells great."

Quil -"Thank you very much."

Soon Me, Jake, Jared, Leah, Paul, and Seth are decorating. I get stuck with the streamers. I have no idea how. I'm the shortest one here.

I'm standing there in the middle of the living room jumping up trying to tape the streamers to the ceiling.

Jacob- "Need some help?" He says with an amused smile.

Lexi- "Yeah, Could you get me a ladder?" I stay sill trying to reach the ceiling all of a sudden I'm being lifted up and I land on Jake's shoulders. "Thanks Jake." I say kissing his nose. I tap all of the streamers and by the time were done it's almost time to start the party. Me and Leah head over to her house to get ready. We put on our costumes, do our make up, fix our hair, and a bunch of other stuff. We walk back over to Sam's ant the party is in full motion. Tone of lights and music and food. a bunch of people everywhere. We walk a little farther and see all the guys. Everyone has really great costumes.

I walk up to Jake putting my arms around his neck.

Lexi-"Nice costume Wolfie."

Jacob- "Thanks," He smirks,"You too, babe." giving me a short sweet kiss.

We all went to the backyard and the party was in full swing. At least half of the resrvstion was here! Everyone was dancing, having a great time. Quil immediately went for the food, while the rest of us just wandered off to see other friends. A slow song came on.

Jacob- "May I have this dance?" He says bowing and holding out his hand.

Lexi- "You shall." i say smiling. He brings me to the dance floor wrapping his arms around my waist as i wrap mine aound his neck. We just sway to the music, lost in eachothers eyes.

The night really just flew by. One minute I was dancing with Jake and the next I was shoving a pie in Quil's face and the next it was all over and we were cleaning up.

Embry- "Are you kidding me?!" I hear Embry yelling from the other end of the yard, "There are only three plates and two cups in this trash can! Apparently no one can use a trashcan."

Lexi- "Em, just get over it and help us clean this up."

Embry- "Fine." He says pouting.

After we all finnished cleaning up me and Embry drove home. I hopped into bed dreamming of Jake.
